Open wooden beams on the ceiling and vaulted A-frame beams upstairs give this home a nostalgic cabin charm, yet luxurious furnishings and upgraded floors/appliances offer the space and all the comforts of a modern home.

Located in the center of Lake Tahoe’s south shore off Pioneer Trail, the home is close to Heavenly Ski Resort (4 miles/10 minutes) and Nevada stateline's casino entertainment/shops/theaters (5 miles/12 minutes) and walking distance to National Forest, bike paths, cross country skiing trails and Trout Creek.

Our family has enjoyed this home during all seasons of the year--skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and the Tahoe beaches (fishing/boating), hiking and biking in the spring through fall. So we have provisioned the home with the items a family might need for a comfortable stay.

The living room has a comfy leather sofa, loveseat and coffe table as well as cable TV on a 32 inch flat panel with DVD player. You can also enjoy the cozy fireplace. The dining room has a large table with benches and chairs for 10.

There's a WIFI router in the living room and wireless High Speed Internet access available throughout the home: up to 12Mps download speed will accomodate communications for your entire family or group! You are also welcome to use our computer if you decide not to bring your laptop/iPad.

The updated kitchen is fully equiped with a refrigerator & ice maker, stove and cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, and disposal. It's also stocked with a coffee maker, toaster, mixer, blender and dishware/glassware/cookware to make wonderful home cooked meals and desserts.

There are four large, comfortable bedrooms, two on each floor and each room has cable television.

Bottom floor bedroom #1: queen size bed, dresser, cable TV, and night stand.
Bottom floor bedroom #2: queen size bed, dresser, and night stand.
Upper floor bedroom #3: California king size bed and a queen size bed, plus dresser and night stand. It opens up into a balcony.
Upper floor bedroom #4: queen size bed, dresser, and night stand.

Central heating; full-sized washer/dryer included; two full baths.

Roomy 6-8 person (depending on how cozy do you want to get) hot tub/spa in a private backyard, surrounded by nature; naturally landscaped exterior and front porch.

Spacious two-car garage and paved parking in front. Plus there's a front deck/porch to enjoy when the weather is nice outside.

Our family and guests are non-smokers, so the home is smoke-free. We request non-smoking guests only. We will welcome your pets, depending on the number/size.

Nightly Rates:

• Holidays: $400 per night
• Thanksgiving & Ski Season: $300 per night
• Summer: $300 per night
• Spring or Fall: $200 per night
  

Holidays are Christmas break, New Year's, and the Fourth of July.

There is a two night minimum stay, three nights for Thanksgiving week and for the 4th of July Holidays, and five nights minimum for the Christmas/New Year's Holidays.

Additional Deals:

There is a standing fifteen percent (15%) discount if you stay more than three nights during ski season (November - April) or are a returning guest. This standing deal is not valid with any other DEALS or dscounts.

If you are able to come up midweek and stay three nights during ski season, the third night is free.  Midweek means Sunday through Thursday nights, but does not include Thanksgiving week, the Christmas Holidays or New Years.  Lift lines are short during the week, so this is a great time to be up in Tahoe.

Taxes:

All quoted rates include the ten percent occupancy tax.

Caretaker's Fee:

There is an additional hot tub maintenance/caretaker/linen/cleaning/restocking/snow removal fee of $150. 

We cannot "waive" or "reduce" the caretaker's fee.  Not living in Tahoe, we pay a small business owner to look after the home.  This fee is what they charge and I have gotten nothing but positive feedback from past guests about the caretaker's standard of care.

Deposit:

Refundable Deposit is $300. Pets will be considered and will include an additional refundable $200 deposit if accepted.  Once the Caretakers check everything out on departure, the deposit will be sent back.  If you are a returning guest that received full deposit return your last visit, we will be glad to cut the deposit in half for future stays.

If you want the house for seven days, the non-holiday rate ranges from $1000-1500 and the holiday rate is $2400. 

Payment:

We accept Paypal and personal checks.  Paypal allows you to use either credit cards or electronic fund transfers.

Rent will be paid in full 30 days prior to occupancy, unless other arrangements are made or reservations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival date.  If the Caretaker Service determines there was smoking in the home, the entire security deposit is forfeit. Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to occupancy date will be afforded a full refund. Cancellations made less than 30 days before occupancy date will forfeit the rental fee for the entire occupancy period. Security and/or pet deposit will be refunded if paid and renter does not occupy the home. Reservations during the Holiday period (Christmas/New Year’s) require full payment within 7 days of confirmation with no refunds if canceled less than 90 days prior to reservation.
