Awesome vacation spot less than 10 minutes from Traverse City on Bass
Lake (between Long Lake and Silver Lake). Beautifully furnished home
right on the water - the lake is just 20 feet of deck away! Every
room has a gorgeous lake view.
Lakeside has over 150 feet of private sandy beach with sparkling
clear water. 350 acre Bass Lake is an all sports lake - you can
bring your own boat or borrow either of ours - the pontoon boat
pictured or a faster bass boat - at a low additional cost.
This super clean 1750 square foot home has 3 bedrooms (2 have queen
beds, 1 huge one has a queen plus 2 twins) and 2 full baths. This is
a modern home with central air, a fully equipped kitchen including
dishwasher, a full laundry room and beautiful hardwood floors.
Lakeside has telephone service, high speed internet, 5 cable TV's
with DVDs, VCRs, lots of current bestseller books and a children's
DVD library they can view from their bed. Our guest house has been
converted to a sparkling new game room (see pix at bottom below) -
perfect for separating the generations since it's just across the
deck but allows for late night activities when others may be asleep
in the big house. Game room has a wall of glass facing the lake.
If you have a family member that can't 'do steps', this is truly
a vacation paradise for them. They can be totally on their own -
from the kitchen to the bedroom to the bathroom to the outside deck
chairs to the beach and the water - no climbing involved!
cottage rental amenities
Lake at your door with 150 feet of sandy beach. Great fishing right
off the dock of 'keeper' sized bass, pike, bluegills and perch. Bass
Lake is great for tubing and jet skis, or just peaceful exploring. A
canoe and several inflatable canvas single person pontoons are parked on
the beach for your use (see in pix at top).
There's a gas grill and dining furniture on the sunny lakeside deck
and a second picnic table with charcoal grill in the big grass side
yard. On the beach is a big wood swing to watch unbelievable sunsets
from and a nice fire pit with free firewood. There's plenty of deck
chairs, loungers and tables (and ashtrays for the 'outside only'
smokers). All linens except beach towels are provided, plus an
initial supply of paper and soap products. Dogs are welcome at NO
extra charge (with certain restrictions).
Plenty of parking for boat trailers and vehicles in the yard. Very
quiet and peaceful location on dead end private road, only 200 yards
off pavement and less than 5 miles from town.
Best of all - it's just for you and your family! no close neighbors,
no traffic noise - it's so relaxing you won't want to leave.
