The home is located in a tiny hamlet along the Delaware Bay, a short distance from downtown Cape May.

Former home of Owner/Chef of Water's Edge and 1919 in downtown Cape May, the house provides COOKING ENTHUSIASTS with a lovely Chef's kitchen to prepare very special meals!

First Level:

Large open plan kitchen with butcher-block center-island, breakfast bar with stools, 6-burner Viking Professional gas range with top grillers, large Subzero fridge/freezer, large bay window with stunning views of the beach and water, dining room (seats upto 12 plus additional seating around center island) with wood burning stove and sliding doors opening onto deck. 

Open plan living room with gleaming Brazilian teak floors & 10 floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beach and water. Eclectically and comfortably furnished with 3 large sofas, various chairs, aubusson rug, large fireplace, 42 inch wall-mounted flatscreen HD-TV, DVD player, stereo, karaoke entertainment system, second dining/card table and sliding doors leading to deck.
Bedrooms are unpretentiously decorated in a funky mix of rustic and shabby chic furnishings:
(1) Poolside bedroom with pool & beachviews from 5 windows, flat screen HD-TV + DVD player, king bed, phone, built in closet + chest of drawers, shared ensuite bath, doorway leading to pool and deck;

(2) Beachfront bedroom with stunning waterviews + views of the pool from 5 windows, queen bed, closet + chest of drawers, phone, desk, shared ensuite bath;

(3) Blueroom with queen bed, sitting area with 2 club chairs, built-in-closets, chest of drawers, flat screen HDTV, desk, phone, computer with large screen monitor + printer, windows overlooking gardens and preserve, private ensuite toilet;

(4) Delaware bedroom with 2 large windows, queen bed, WIC, chest of drawers, desk, phone with hall-bath just outside.

Second Level:

Private stairway leads to large mastersuite with STUNNING waterviews, 2 balconies (1 facing the water + 2nd juliet balcony facing preserve); king bed + a single daybed, phone, dressing area with mirrored dressing table; walk-in-closet; large master bath with fabulous water views, antique clawfoot tub & wall mirror, large separate shower, dual sinks/mirrors, phone, cupboards & chairs.Separate living area with 42" wall-mounted HD-TV, DVD player, loveseat, armchair and chaise.

The house has an exceptionally lovely and serene setting facing a nature preserve in the tiny hamlet of Del Haven, sitting right smack on a private unmanned beach. While this is a beautiful undiscovered part of the Jersey Shore offering total privacy and tranquility, it is still within minutes of downtown Cape May and Wildwood. Stone Harbor and Avalon are also nearby as are Ocean City and Atlantic City. Out-of-towners can visit Philly (about 1.5 hrs), New York City (about 2.5 hrs), Assateague & Chincoteague Islands, VA--known for wildlife safaris & Wild Pony Cruises (about 2.5 hrs) and DC (about 3.5 hrs).
