Peaceful Waterfront Home; heated pool & hot tub in Port Charlotte

Comfortably appointed with everything you need to relax and enjoy. Sleeps 6 people in comfort including a king size master bedroom & bath with walk-in shower and separate tub.  Master bedroom, dining room & den all open to the pool deck and oversized screened lanai with a heated swimming pool & hot tub which all over-look the Pelham canal and foliage across the canal. The split open floor plan provides two additional bedrooms on the other side of the house for privacy. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the 3rd bedroom is equipped with a daybed with two twins and doubles as an office with desk overlooking the waterway.

The main lounge area is cheerful & airy with adjacent breakfast & dining areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and utensils for a minimum of 8. The Villa is fully air conditioned throughout with ceiling fans in all rooms. Three sets of sliders open to the pool area with spacious decking, patio furniture, sun loungers and a gas barbeque grill.  Meander down to the dock to enjoy coffee in the morning and watch the fish jump or... grab a fishing rod to see what you can catch. The Villa comes with 2 kayaks to explore local waters.  For days in, there are games and a library of over 200 DVDs.

Well behaved dogs under 40 pounds are welcome. Extra cleaning fees apply.

There are excellent public facilities nearby.  The Spring Lake Community Boat ramp is a couple of minutes away from the Villa and allows public access to the canal systems that weave their way through the area and lead out to Charlotte Harbor.  Another half mile down the road is a public park with tennis courts and a kayak launch where you can kayak among the Mangroves. The Charlotte County Harbor park is only a 5-10 minute drive with a small beach opening onto the Harbor and another boat ramp as well as kayak rentals.

The South West Gulf Coast of Florida is renowned for its calm waters, white sugar sanded beaches and relaxed and laid back lifestyle. The area boasts nature trails, water sports, boating and sailing, golf, shopping and much much more. All easily accessible within a short drive of the villa.

A particular attraction for boat owners in South Gulf Cove is that there is easy access to the Community Boat ramp which allows public access for boat owners to the Gulf through the many canals that weave their way through South Gulf Cove.

The Port Charlotte, Northport & Punta Gorda area is a mecca for golfers with more than 20 courses nearby.

NATURE LOVERS – ENJOY THE MORE THAN 70 PARKS, PRESERVES and RECREATIONAL AREAS  FOUND AROUND CHARLOTTE HARBOR AND THE GULF ISLANDS. You can enjoy inland exploration, as well as waterfront strolling. Nature enthusiasts can hike and bike along park paths for possible encounters with birds of almost every feather, turtles and other local wildlife. Or you can Kayak or Canoe and take a slower pace around the many waterways of the area. About 1.5 hour drive south you’ll find the Everglades is also accessible as one of the many day trips you can do from the area.

WATER LOVERS - PUNTA GORDA & CHARLOTTE HARBOR OFFER SOME OF THE VERY BEST SAILING AND BOATING EXEPERIENCES ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD - Charlotte Harbor is one of SAIL Magazines '10 Greatest Places to Sail' in the US. With 120 square miles of cruising waters in the harbor & access to the Gulf of Mexico, as well as inland passages north and south, the harbor has an endless series of adventures on offer.

The upper harbor offers protected sailing on those windy days; to the south, the harbor opens up to a large expanse of water that offers long stretches for a relaxing reach across the harbor on a nice day. You can make easy day trips around the many islands & keys that dot the coastline. You may want to head to the Cabbage Key Inn for an outdoor lunch or to Cayo Costa for an afternoon of shelling or picnicing on the beautiful white beaches. Both islands are only accessible via boat and are quite a treat.

There are many boat hire firms catering for the experienced & the novice alike. And no visit to the Gulf Coast is complete without a trip around the islands.

BEACH LOVERS – A SHORT DRIVE TO BOCA GRAND, MANASOTA KEY AND DON PEDRO ISLAND STATE PARK. Just 11 miles from Boca Grande Causeway you drive north or south to numerous beautiful beaches.  Within 45 minutes you can visit the beaches of Siesta Key by Sarasota where you’ll find baby powder-white sands of Siesta key Beach, Crescent Beach or Turtle Beach or head 45 mintues south to the beach of Fort Myers or a little further to Sanibel, Captiva, Marco Island or Naples.

Punta Gorda Motor Speedway - Punta Gorda Speedway is a 3/8 mile banked asphalt speedway located on Piper Road in Punta Gorda, Florida, next door to the Charlotte County Airport. The speedway operates primarily on Saturday nights with a full slate of stock car racing, with sprint cars and karts on special occasions.

Charlotte Sports Park – The spring training grounds for the Tampa Bay Rays provides a fun and reasonably priced way to watch professional baseball for the whole family
