Sonia's Beach Cottages in Indian Rocks Beach

Sonia's Beach Cottage was the perfect place for our family vacation. We slept 10 people and there was more than enough space for everybody. The pool and hot tub were maintained throughout the week. The charcoal grill was nice too. The sunsets were unbelievable and you had an amazing view from every patio & balcony. The private beach access was awesome, perfect sand, and had plenty of beach chairs and pool toys. It was close to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and CVS. The house managers were very friendly and helpful with everything. Saw dolphins swim by every evening! It was perfect for my beach wedding. We will definitely be coming back!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway

Beach Paradise

We rented the lower two units for 5 nights in October. Both units were clean and more than adequate. My mom who is disabled stayed in the studio on the lower level and it was perfect for her with no stairs, a large walk in shower, etc. The middle unit was perfect for us with 2 children... we had our morning coffee and evening cocktails on the large deck.

The rental had everything we needed, lots of pool toys, beach toys, umbrella's, etc. We hardly left the cottage as the kids were happy to be at the beach or in the pool. We got a kick out of all the gecko's my son would catch and brought home tons of shells we found on our own beach. There is an ice cream shop down the alley and we would walk there almost every day. But the majority of our meals were prepared at the cottage using the BBQ grill!

Sonia is a pleasure to work with and we would certainly stay here again! Our only complaint was the caretaker and her older son who would walk through the property to get to the beach... he would come and go with his friends. One late night we were enjoying the hot tub and we were pretty startled to have someone walk through at midnight.. it's not something you expect at a private home. The caretaker also used the laundry room for personal laundry the last two days we were there which meant our laundry did not get done. We finally put some wet towels into the dryer and the caretaker approached us saying we should have folded her laundry when we removed it from the dryer to put ours in!

Even with the caretaker issues, we give this place 5 stars. It was an excellent vacation and the above paragraph wasn't anything to change that, just a little annoying to have our privacy disturbed. Everyday we woke up and thought 'this is paradise'. Thank you Sonia for sharing your beach cottage with our family!

Exactly what was needed!!!

We have stayed in clearwater for several years but wanted something different this year. Sonias Cottage was exactly what was needed. Sonia and Rajean were great to deal with. We had a total of 10 people at the cottage but privacy was not a problem. The three seperate units worked out great although majority of the time was spent down at the pool. Words can not explain how enjoyable the pool overlooking the beach was. For our family this exactly where we hoping for. Shopping and restaraunts a short drive away, not much in walking distance. We found cooking out on the bbq was the way to go. Thank you Sonia, look forward to next year.
