Views of and located on the Great Bay Estuary. The reserve comprised of tidal waters and wetlands. The area is home to herring, eel, smelt, flounder, striped bass, and bluefish. Also Oysters, mussels, rock crabs, clams and lobsters. Whitetail deer, red fox, raccoon, porcupine, wild turkey, pheasant, and other wild life also live in the meadows and woodlands around the bay.
Great Bay is a refuge for 23 species of endangered plants and animals that can be observed on miles of public trails surrounding the bay. Bird watchers may see bald eagles, nesting osprey, common tern, bobolink, snowy egret and great blue heron also.
