A fabulous place to enjoy your vacation ….this cabin has what you are looking for …. It has 3000 square feet of living space, has WI-FI, Central Air Conditioning and can accommodate up to 14 guests.   Includes an Outdoor Fire pit area, Hot Tub, and Swing and inside it has 2 gas Fireplaces, Pool Table, Video Arcade system and a Gaming system, Leather Furniture, two large Master suites, and a fully equipped Kitchen, and plenty of space.  Beside all of that, the wrap around deck with rocking chairs is a sure way to relax.


AnnAlisa log cabin home is beautifully kept and well maintained since it was built in 2007.  All the bedrooms in the cabin have their own cable TV’s.  The main level has a great living room with vaulted ceilings, stone gas-log fireplace, 3 nice leather sofas, 40 inch LCD TV with DVD /surround sound/IPOD docking, a dining area, and kitchen.  The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for dining for up to fourteen guests. It has granite counter tops, glass top stove, side by side refrigerator, and dishwasher.  The kitchen has a breakfast bar and is open to the living room area so the cooks can be part of the activities in the living room area.   Also on the main level are two bedrooms; one has a queen-sized bed, and other has two queen-sized beds, and a full bathroom.  In the large bathroom, the new washer and dryer are housed in the closet. Don’t forget the covered wrap around deck off the main level with rocking chairs and a 6-person hot tub. 

In addition, outside, you will find the walkway to the new fire pit area which has plenty of seating for all guests to enjoy a toasted marshmallow or s’mores.  Or there is a 3 person swing to relax on and enjoy the view or just a morning coffee with the quiet sounds of over 2.5 acres of wooded privacy.

The upper level of the cabin has a spacious Master suite with a King-sized bed and sitting area with an over sized chair and loveseat.  The sitting area in this room acts like its own living room with its own 32 inch TV and DVD player.  You can enjoy time to read that perfect book or simply get away for some solitude and watch your favorite DVD.  The full bathroom has 2 sinks, full tub/shower, and granite counters.  One more bedroom upstairs has another queen size bedroom with a flat screen TV, video game system and an arcade console.

The lower level has a den with a stone gas-log fireplace, a pool table and TV. There is also a second master suite with a King-sized bed, large sofa chair, TV and a full bathroom.  The bathroom has one sink, and the tub/shower.


AnnAlisa’s cabin is at an elevation of 3200 feet the temperature rarely get's above 80 degrees in the summer time, so come beat the heat. It is conveniently located in the High Country area …You can enjoy all the mountains have to offer close by …only 5 miles away…you will be at Valle Crucis, Boone, or  Grandfather Mountain …only 10 miles away you will be at Blowing Rock,  Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain or Appalachian Mountain,  and  15 miles away is Beech Mountain.   Other nearby amenities include Willow Creek Golf, Boone Golf Course, numerous great places to hike, waterfalls, Tweetsie Railroad Amusements, Ziplining and much more.

Ski areas include Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn and Beech Mtn., Hawks Nest snow tubing. Linville Falls and Caverns plus other great attractions are short rides away. Whether you want a weekend getaway for an Appalachian State Mountaineer Football game or an extended stay for tranquility it can be found here.

Epic Ski/Board trip- 2013!!!

This is the second time that we have stayed at this cabin, and we are already planning on a third. It is a perfect place with plenty of room. We had ten inches of snow throughout our stay and the roads were in great shape. No chains needed, which puts my mind at ease for traveling in and out. Our group size was 12 adults all snowboarding/skiing for 8+ hours a day, then pure relaxation by the fire and hot tub at night. Owners are very nice and will help with any issues/schedules that may arise. Just a great place and great people to work with. See you next year!!!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Wonderful place high in the mountain.

We stayed at this cabin through Christmas this year with a full house of family members together sharing our grandson's first Christmas. He is the first for both sides of the family and we had a wonderful time sharing him and this cabin with everyone. There is so much room, that if you wanted to get away by yourself at any point, there was plenty of room to do so with out feeling like you were on top of other people. We found a wonderful tree farm down the road to get a Christmas tree for use during our visit. We were able to cut it down ourselves, and take it back and put it up, what a wonderful smell it left throughout the cabin.
The cabin is very clean, well maintenanced, the fireplace went out on us on Sunday, the owners were very nice to have someone come out the next day to fix it. Very accommodating to the needs of everyone who rents their place. It is well stocked with everything you would need to cook big family meals, which we did on several occasions, and every thing in between. The owners are very specific on what is there and what you need to bring with you, no need to worry though, there is an Engles grocery store right down the road from the cabin. A four wheel drive vehicle is a must on the roads leading up to the cabin off the main road. They get very slick with the snow and freezing temperatures and they do not maintain this road, though there is a home owner who does try to plow the road if he can when it snows as it did on our first day arriving at the cabin. I would definitely stay at this cabin again in the future, if our family decides on another get away up in the mountains of North Carolina.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing

Owners response: We are glad that you had a memorable Christmas at the cabin. We do recommend to our guests to use 4 wheel drive in the winter months on the mountain roads. It is the safest way to get where you want to be. When we plow the driveway for our guests; we do try to ensure that the roads getting there are clear, too. We look forward to hearing from you again, for your next trip to the mountains.
