Vacation Rental Description

Blue Sky Lodge offers a large and open great room perfect for family 
gatherings.  Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms acomodate friends 
and family in a warm, inviting home.  You will love the single level 
floorplan which allows everyone to join the conversation whether 
cooking in the kitchen or relaxing in the living area.  Each bedroom 
features pine paneled walls, new pine furniture and an adjoining 
bathroom.  The living area is beautifully decorated in a 
lodge motif and well equipped with a wood burning stove, television 
with cable, VCR, DVD/CD player, stereo system and a good supply of 
games and movies.  The family chef will enjoy cooking on the new 
appliances in the kitchen and with a good supply of accoutrements.   

Away from it all, yet minutes from Tahoe City, this home is nestled 
between undeveloped lots and the National Forest.  A wonderful, 
quiet setting.  The large front deck gets great sun and features a 
patio table and chairs, gas BBQ, and Adirondack style furniture.  
More patio furniture and a hammock to relax in are out the back 
door.  From there enter the National Forest and enjoy miles of 
trails through Paige Meadows.  Meandering trails are perfect for 
bird watchers, mountain biking or hiking in the summer; cross 
country skiing, snow shoeing and sledding in the winter.  After a 
day on the trails unwind in the new outdoor hot tub!  This waterfall 
tub will soothe all your muscles with over 40 powerful jets and room 
for seven.   
 
The Blue Sky cabin has access to the private Tahoe Park Beach 
area.  Enjoy 800 feet of lake frontage, 2 piers, protected swim 
area, lakeside BBQ's and tables, and over 2 acres of lush, 
landscaped grounds for all your summertime activities.

This home is five minutes from Tahoe City shopping and dining.  
Fifteen minutes to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Homewood Ski 
areas.  There is winter parking for 4 cars.  All cars must be parked 
off the street in the driveway.

This is a wonderful place this Blue Sky Lodge.  Room for all of us 
to play, rest, eat and relax.  The kitchen was equipped to my 
husbands content and that makes all the difference!  On the blue sky 
days we walked and played and marveled at the beauty.  On the grey 
sky days we gasped with delight (swallow our anxiety about going 
down the mountain) at the morning gift of snow!  Saucers and 
snowballs made the time complete for my son.  During the cover of 
night we were a family with hot tubs and games and stories and 
movies and of course, hide and seek (under the tv can hold 2 very 
quiet 3 year olds!)  We thank you for this great gift.  Blessings!

We had a spectacular stay  at the Blue Sky Cabin.  Every morning we 
woke up to the slight, but joyous breeze and the faint wailing of 
the miraculously tall trees.  The wildlife surrounding it made it 
even more charming.  The livingroom, kitchen and bedrooms were very 
well equipped along with the glorious master bathroom with the 
jacuzzi/hot tub.  We look forward to the little slice of mountain 
heaven that was lended to us as guests.  The gas grill out on the 
deck was great and helpful.  The lawn was very nice and the flowers 
have a great aura of beauty along with their great smell.  The 
garage was very helpful with the bikes and further recreation.  We 
look forward to staying in this great place known as Tahoe again and 
in this wonderful cabin.  Thanks!

Thanksgiving 2003
The Shakes family and friends enjoyed a fabulous Thanksgiving feast 
at your splendid dining room table!  It was a wonderful week and we 
even managed to ski four days...we are very happy campers!  The well 
stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze, and the woodstove kept us 
toasty warm.  We will be back!
