Casita Encanto is a charming 1 bedroom apartment located in San Diego, California near the Gaslamp District. French doors open up onto a private redwood deck that overlooks a beautiful, lush, tropical shade garden. Sit on the deck and enjoy the fragrance of the night blooming jasmine and the flowers of the Trumpet trees. Catch the morning sun on our redwood deck overlooking the entire neighborhood. Go out in the morning in the spring and pick organic nectarines and peaches from our fruit trees.
We created Casita Encanto based on what we like when we travel. Luxury and comfort are very important to us, as well as having a complete kitchen where we can cook our meals, rather than always eating out. I like to be able to wash my clothes when necessary
We are located in a well-established, unique, eclectic, middle class neighborhood, where no two houses are alike. The neighborhood is zoned agricultural with a 1/2 acre minimum lot. You won't find any apartment buildings or sidewalks here, but the occasional rooster or chicken can be seen crossing the road. It is peaceful and quiet with a country feel, just minutes from downtown San Diego. We have lived in this neighborhood for 19 years and absolutely love it. It is the best kept secret in San Diego.
We are within 10 minutes of many fun tourist attractions: Seaport Village, the San Diego Convention Center, Petco Park, Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, The Embarcadero, Old Town, Coronado Island, the Silver Strand Beach. The Gaslamp District is packed with wonderful restaurants, great music venues, and live theater. We are only 15 miles from the International border.
We are within a 15 to 30 minute drive from the following: Knotts Berry Farm Soak City, most San Diego County beaches, Seal World, Lego Land, the Wild Animal Park, Birch Aquariam and Indian gaming. There are many great hiking areas throughout San Diego County. There is no end to the fun things to do and see while visiting us.
