Sunny Cove Retreat was built in 1957 for the sister of Lloyd Bridges (the actor) & has had only a few owners since then. I've been upgrading older appliances, while trying to keep the 'look' of the American 1950s. This is an OCEANFRONT, BEACHFRONT house. The house is located across the street from the beach, w/a spectacular view of the water, crashing waves, & beautiful Sunny Cove Beach. The house is large and set up as a great space for lots of people to enjoy together.

the beach is 35 steps from the house, with great boogie boarding, body boarding and nearby surfing.
go out or stay in. Santa Cruz and Capitola are minutes from the house, with great restaurants, bars, live music, and more. If you stay in, the house has plenty of indoor entertainment, including TV, spare laptop w/wireless Internet access, plenty of beach equipment, extra blankets, towels, etc. The house has a basketball hoop, full sized pool table, many board games, and toys for kids. We have a full audio/video setup, including large screen HDTV, surround sound, Blu-Ray player, DVD collection with classic movies, 200 channel satellite TV and easy hookup for MP3 players. If you like to cook, there's 3 ovens, a 4-burner stove, broiler, and oversized outdoor gas grill. The pool table has a custom tabletop which seats 16+.
sleepover parties. The house sleeps plenty of people. There's 1 king bed, 1 queen, 2 twins, 2 bunkbeds and more. House sleeps 16 people, maximimum of 10 adults.

It's Santa Cruz! There's beaches, beaches and more beaches; tons of great spas, shopping downtown, restaurants, bars, funky cafes and tea houses, bookstores, farmer's markets, hiking, golf, and more. The Monterey Aquarium is 45minutes.

Sunny Cove Retreat is a real home, not a standard 'rental' and has panoramic views, direct beach access and numerous amenities.
Peak season is July 1 - September 30 ($850/night, $5950/week, 4 night minimum)
Off-peak season is Oct 1 - Jan 31 ($550/weekend night, $550/weeknight, $4100/week, 2 night minimum)
Spring season is Feb 1 - May 31 ($675/weekend night, $550/weeknight, $3900/week, 2 night minimum)
June 1 - June 30 ($795/night, $5565/week, 4 night minimum)
Rates do not include $285 cleaning cost for professional cleaners and 11% Santa Cruz county tax.
