McRae's Bear Trac In in Chimney Rock

Bear Trac In was completed in 2004, setting on the side of a
mountain, with a most spectacular view of Mt. Mitchell and the Blue
Ridge Parkway. This cozy cottage has 2 bedrooms upstairs and a
master
bedroom downstairs. There are 2 full baths downstairs and 1 1/2
baths upstairs. Arise early to catch the sun coming up over the
mountain with that first cup of coffee. Kick back on the deck in
the
afternoon and fire up the gas grill for a dinner in the fresh
mountain air. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishwasher,
microwave, ice maker,disposal, etc. A washer and dryer is also
provided.
If it gets too cool, turn on the gas logs in the den and watch t.v.
But, if t.v. isn't your game, try some of the board games and
puzzles
provided. Also, there are plenty of books for your reading
enjoyment.
O.K., so you want some excitement. You can find many adventures
just a short drive away. After viewing the movie, "The Last of the
Mohicans", take a hike to Chimney Rock and see where it was filmed.
Take a tour of Lake Lure and see where "Dirty Dancing" was filmed.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is only a short drive away and many hiking
trails await you.
Visit Old Town Hendersonville for an adventure in shopping. Also,
Black Mountain is only 15 miles away. Of course you must visit
Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. Plan to spend the day there. On
the opposite end of the scale, visit the Carl Sanburg home in Flat
Rock. 

Spring is in the air and mother nature is looking her best.  Warm in the day and cool at night.  It's the perfect time to visit the mountains and take in all the beauty.
