Awesome views from this comfortable 2nd Row Condo! in North Myrtle Beach

disappointing dealings with VRNMB

Wanted to post our disappointment with our rental through Vacation Rentals of NMB... Had this condo rented for the week of 6/23 through 6/30. Arrived in NMB at 4:00 (after a phone call to the office at 11:00 am telling them of our arrival time) after 10 hours of driving, to be given keys to the condo and arriving at the condo to the stench of "animal" wafting from the room as we opened the door. This is a pet friendly condo which we needed, but that smell was awful. The room had also not been cleaned, throughout the condo there were the previous occupants trash, grunge and grime left everywhere (including a used tampon in the trash can with no trash can liner). Again, this was after a phone call at 11 telling them when we would arrive. After a phone call to the office, we were offered a small discount off our total rental cost for our inconvenience. They said they would send a cleaning person (yes, just one person who arrived 50 mins after the first phone call) and while she worked they suggested we could go to get groceries or get something to eat while we waited for the place to be cleaned. Neither of which was an option as we had just eaten an hour earlier and were not hungry and there was no room in the car to go get groceries because of all the luggage still in our car as we were not going to unload and leave it in the dirty room. I think if we had been offered more than just a small portion discount, and had not walked into a room that had not been cleaned, the other factors could have been easier to deal with, but instead we made phone calls and found a place (pet friendly by the way) in HHI and drove the extra 4 1/2 hours to go back to the place where we should have opted to book our vacation in the first place. I wanted to give NMB a try since it had been over 10 years since we had been there, but I will tell you I never plan to try a return visit, especially with a rental though VRNMB. I did not feel they were very accommodating at all.

I have stayed at this Condo and it is a great place with excellent views and close to all amenities.Condo gives you a nice home feel. Rental company is very good and is willing to make your stay very enjoyable

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Great Location!!!

My sister and I stayed in Ocean Terrace #3 last October. It was wonderful!!! The Cherry Grove section of nmb is perfect, not too crowed, but still plenty to do within walking distance. Beach directly across from street....great view of ocean from balcony...walk to bars, grocery, liquor store, resturants, etc. The unit was in great shape and seems to have been recently upgraded with new floors in both bathrooms and new carpet in living room...Can't wait to go back! The rental company was very helpful in where to eat and what to do, etc.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway
