Ali'i Lani is centrally located less than a mile from town, which makes an easy walk or drive to great shopping and dining.
The complex itself has two very well maintained pools, a large BBQ area, and a convenience store across the street. Several great beaches are very close by, and for world class snorkeling with dolphins, Kealakekua Bay is a few minutes south.
Kona is centrally located for day trips to Volcano National Park, Parker Ranch, the Waikoloa resort area, and many other great local attractions.

Homeowner's Association rules require minimum 30 day rentals (though you don't have to stay that long). Compare to a hotel - more room, 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, free internet, full kitchen - for less!
