Lakefront Rental Cottage Near Rhode Island Beaches in South Kingstown

Charming 1950’s, winterized, lakefront summer cottage on Indian Lake. Freshly painted cheery rooms, newly refinished hardwood floors throughout.  Picture window offers panoramic view of the Lake and its amazing sunsets.  Recently updated with new refrigerator, washer and dryer.  BRAND NEW (2012), bigger dock. The cottage has two bedrooms - one bedroom has sliding doors with small deck facing Lake.  The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the other, a double bed.  

The house has a beautiful deck facing water with plenty of outdoor furniture and a gas grill.  There is a beautiful, patio dock (over the water) with built in bench seating.  A separate floating deck attached to the dock is great for launching canoe or kayak (or catching fish with a net).  

Quiet peaceful location for adults with lots for kids to do too.   Property is adjacent to Association maintained private beach and across the street from Association recreational area with open field, basketball court and small playground.

Spend the day at the ocean and return home for a dip in the lake and watch the sunset - perfect combination.   Local property owner is happy to offer help selecting restaurants, beaches and activities.

The house is 800 sq. ft.  Tenants must abide by the Indian Lake Association rules.   Renter parties are not allowed.  

New washer and dryer.  New refrigerator (with icemaker).  Cable TV with DVD as well as separate VHS player.   Cottage is fully accessorized with bedding, cooking utensils, cleaners and other linens.

Access to Association beach and recreational area. The recreational area has a large open field, basketball court and small playground.  Field is great for family baseball games or Frisbee.

The property has 1 canoe, 2 kayaks and a small rowboat – to be used only at the rentors own risk.   A variety of Personal Flotation Devices are located in outdoor storage area.

Guests are welcomed to enjoy a random selection of puzzles, games, books and video tapes on rainy days or evenings!    No LAN line available.   Window installed air conditioners are available at tenants request. 

Swim, boat, relax, sit on the deck and dock.

Again, the house is perfectly located to enjoy ocean beaches and shoreline attractions (Newport, Jamestown, Narragansett, Block Island) by day, then return to watch the sunset over the Lake at night.   However, staying at the Lake all day is a great option too!  Swimming, boating, fishing or just floating around on a raft are all good choices.    

The nearest town with all conveniences is Wakefield and it is 5-8 minutes by car.   Wakefield has many restaurants, grocery stores and has a wonderful six mile bike path that is considered one of the premiere paths in the Northeast.   Nearby Narragansett is known for its beautiful beaches, rocky shoreline, surfing and ocean side restaurants.  

There are many seasonal activities nearby in Narragansett, Warch Hill, Wickford, Newport and Jamestown such as outdoor concerts, seafood festivals and art shows.  Last year there was a trolley running (free) to all the beaches. A movie theater is a 5 minutes drive and is a nice option to have for a rainy day.  Advice on activities from local resident, owner is available if you like.  

May 28th - June 30th:  $1,200/week Or, $2,300/2 weeks

July 1- September 4th:  $1,300/week Or, $2,400/2 weeks.

September 5th - May 27th:  $1,100/month (during this season, we only rent "monthly".  Preference is given to long-term rentors).

Nightly rentals are by exception only but open to discussion - 2 night minimum.

• All renters will be required to provide a security deposit before occupancy and before rental will be confirmed.
• All renters will be charged a $85.00 cleaning fee (in advance) which is in additional to base rental fee.

Rates are subjected to change until confirmed receipt of Security Deposit.

*Renters must abide by the Indian Lake Association Rules.  Parties are not allowed on either the rental premises or the Association property. Further details re: tenant rules are provided in Rental Agreement.   Most of the rules are common sense and are included to ensure the safety of the rentor and rental property.  The property is in a quiet neighborhood and we aim to be considerate of the neighbors.
