The Blue Roost is walking distance to the beach.  Take the short walk on the boardwalk through the dunes. We are also next to a beach access road, if you prefer to drive.  The 3 bedroom beach house sleeps 12 comfortably with beds for everyone. No pull outs necessary.  The king master is spacious, the second bedroom has 2 queen beds. Upstairs sleeps 6 - one queen bed and 4 singles.  There are 2 full bathrooms.

With 2 spacious decks, you can work on your tan upstairs or relax in the shade on the deck below.  The patio table seats 4 and the lower deck is gated, providing a secure area for kids or pets. Ground level outdoor shower to rinse off the beach.

• Sleeps 12. And not by using the couch, the floor, and the deck. We have comfortable beds, in bedrooms, for 12 people.
• Stocked Kitchen.  From the coffee maker to the pancake griddle to the outdoor grill, you will find everything you need here to make meals (except the food!)  Local grocery stores include IGA and HEB. 
• Private beach boardwalk. Our house is a minute or two walk to the boardwalk, and no more than a five minute walk to the beach.
• Free wi fi and cable. But you're not going to want to work.
• Bring your dog. We are dog owners too. Unfortunately, can't accepts cats.
• Family friendly. We like kids, and kids love our games and rooms.

• The BEACH! Relax in the sand and sun.  Build sandcastles, kayak, body surf.
• Sandfest - Largest Professional Sand Sculpting Competition in the US. 
• Food - Great Local Restaurants
• Walk to Coffee Waves (Coffee and Gelato)
  
• Fishing from the pier or the beach
• Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center – On Wednesdays at 9 am you can participate in a free guided tour. The boardwalk is wheelchair accessible. Be on the look out for Boots and Bags, their resident alligators.
• Joan and Scott Holt Paradise Pond – In addition to it’s usual residents, Paradise Pond is a great spring stop for the migratory warblers and songbirds. The boardwalk is wheelchair accessible.
• Wetland Park – This park is home to water birds and cranes. The wheelchair accessible boardwalk leads to a lovely gazebo near the tidal flats.

If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless:

• The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or
• A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest.
• The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund:

-Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;
-Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and-Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period.
