The cabin was so Beautiful. The cabin was very clean and everything was included. We brought our Lab and having a fenced in backyard was great. Looking out from the porch and seeing all the horses was Heaven. If you enjoy the country and lots of animals this place is for you. Amanda, who works at the farm, was so helpful and nice. Our dogs had a Great Time. We hope to go back again soon.

We stayed at the Anna Valley Farm during the weekend of the ACC Men's Lacrosse championships held at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. The house is about 25 minutes from the university. The area is rural. No streetlights, roll up the sidewalks at 9 pm rural.
If you want to wake up to roosters and farm sounds, this place is for you. We enjoyed the close proximity of the animals. The rental property would be the owners residence on the farm. You can sit on the front porch with your coffee and watch the horses and the goats. Or your favorite beverage in the evening, there is always something going on.
The interior is well appointed. High end appliances and granite counter tops in the kitchen. Comfortable chairs and couches in the living room. The living room, dining room and kitchen are all open to each other. The master bed room has a huge bed. The bathroom is fine. The second bedroom was set up as an office. The couch would pull out to provide an additional sleeping area.
The second bathroom is in the mud room off the huge back deck. The house comes with a washer and dryer as well. There is a propane grill on the back deck.
Internet is via a wifi hot spot. TV is satellite. We enjoyed our visit and would stay here again if we travel to this area.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: Thanks so much Lime-Guy for the wonderful review. Actually, I couldn't have described it better myself as it was the owner's residence. Before I moved to Louisa, I lived in northern VA and used to come every week to work on the farm. We spent six years clearing 100 acres for hay, so we have 100 acres in fields and 120 acres in woods, with miles of trails.

There's no light pollution, so you can see the stars at night and it's very quiet. In addition to central heat and air, there's a wood stove for winter nights.

I hope that you had a cocktail or two on the porch.
