Vacation Rental Description

World renown architect-built private cottage located in lovely 
Volcano Village, perfect for honeymooners, anniversaries, writer's 
or artist's retreat, or if you just want to chill out with that 
special someone! The cottage is on a quiet lane, where homes are 
spaced enough from each other to give you privacy, yet located less 
than a half mile from the amenities of Volcano Village. 

Volcano Village is a quaint country community situated at a cool 
3,900 feet elevation and about one mile from the entrance to 
Volcanoes National Park. It is nestled in the clouds amid Ohia and 
Koa trees and Giant Hapu'u ferns. The mornings are usually bright 
and sunny, the evenings cool and misty, and colorful native 
hawaiian birds sing all day long.

Boy and Debra live just next door and are quietly invisible or ready 
to "talk story" and offer advice about sightseeing on our lovely 
island.

Vacation Rental Amenities

One bedroom cottage with queen-sized bed, hypo-allergenic pillows 
and comforter, electric blanket, terry bathrobes, slippers, private 
bathroom with towel warmer, beach towels, hair dryer, kitchen with 
gas range, under-the-counter fridge, coffee maker, 
microwave oven, toaster, cookware, utensils, Royal Hawaiian coffees, 
tea, hot chocolate, gas fireplace, CD player, outdoor jacuzzi, your 
own lanai and a private parking space.

**A continental breakfast will be delivered to your cottage front 
door each morning. Breakfast will consist of island fruit nectar, 
fresh island fruit, and any of the following: home-baked muffins, 
organic granola, english muffins, whole grain bread, local fruit jams 
and jellies. 

In an effort to provide our guests with a touch of "Old Hawai'i", 
rooms do not have televisions or telephones. 
 
**Yoga classes available.

**Professional body masseuse available upon request.

Amenities in the village include several diverse restaurants, two 
grocery stores, gas station, launderette, gift shops, art 
galleries, post office, and "da" best Sunday morning farmer's market.

**DIRECTIONS to Boy and Debra's Place:
From Hilo: On Highway 11 just past the 26 mile marker, turn RIGHT on 
HAUNANI Rd. Turn LEFT on KALANI HONUA Rd. Go uphill and turn RIGHT on KALANI HONUA Loop. 
Go uphill 2/10 mile and turn LEFT on small lane, go to end of lane and 
turn RIGHT, we are first house on the LEFT, Green house with White trim 
and Red roof. Address is 19-4020. Pull into driveway and come to our front door. We will 
direct you to the cottage.

From Kona: On Highway 11 just past the Volcanoes National Park 
Entrance, and the 27 mile marker, turn LEFT on HAUNANI Rd. FOLLOW 
REST OF DIRECTIONS ABOVE. 

Activities and Attractions

Hike on trails and explore lava tubes in the nearby Volcanoes 
National Park. Take night hikes to see the lava flows. Hike across 
the floor of Kilauea-Iki crater or hike out to Halema'u ma'u, home of 
the fire goddess Pele. 

* Short drive to Punalu'u Black Sand Beach.
* Ten minutes to Volcano Golf and Country Club, 18-hole course.
* 30 minutes to historic downtown Hilo with shops, restaurants,
museums, art galleries and nearby snorkeling and surfing beaches.

hours for Boy and Debra's email response to you. Mahalo.

$140/night, double occupancy

Single night rate $170.00
(single night rate includes cleaning fee, if you book for two nights 
or more, the cleaning fee is waived). 

**Kama'aina rates available: Contact us.
(must have Hawaii State I.D.)

All rates plus Hawaii State taxes of 11.42% (4.166% HI general 
excise tax and 7.25% HI state transient accomodation tax)

Reservations: One night deposit required to hold your reservation 
and must be received within one week of email or phone confirmation. 
**Personal checks accepted. 
**Credit Cards Accepted for your deposit through PayPal**
**(email us for details).
Balance due upon arrival. Checks or cash. We gladly accept your 
personal checks. 

Cancellation Policy: 30+ days prior to arrival date will receive a 
refund less a 15% cancellation fee. 15-29 days prior to arrival date 
will receive a 50% refund. 7-14 days prior to arrival date will 
receive a 25% refund. Cancellations received less that one week to 
arrival date will forfeit payment.

CHECK-IN time is 2-7 pm, we are flexible.
CHECK-OUT time is 11 AM.

This is a smoke-free environment.

Our property is designed for the relaxation and enjoyment of adults, 
and children 12 and over.
