Guemes Island - Saltwater Beach House

Single Family w/ 3 Bedrooms - 2 Bathrooms - Sleeps 6

Vacation Rental Description

Saltwater Beach House is a charming waterfront home on 1.6 acres of
rolling lawn and located on a beautiful, no-bank sandy beach.
Located eighty miles north of Seattle you will find the quiet, slow-
paced lifestyle of Guemes Island, part of the San Juan Islands
archipelago. Guemes Island (pronounced "Gwee mus") is the easiest of
the islands to get to as it is only a 7 minute ferry ride from Anacortes.

The house was completely remodeled in 2005. New carpet, paint, tile
floors, granite tile counters, and tiled baths. The house includes
two fireplaces, and a view deck across the front with sweeping views
from all living areas.

Watch the traffic on the Guemes Channel: kayaks, sailboat races,
yachts, tugs, barges and tankers. A perfect place for sun and
outdoor activities or to watch winter storms and curl up
with a good book in front of the fireplace.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Saltwater Beach House sleeps up to six guests. The house features
light, airy rooms and the kitchen has has been updated with a new microwave,
new refrigerator and dishwasher. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for your
Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner plans. Just bring food as all glassware, silverware and cookware are here for
your use. There is an expansive water view from the large living and
dining rooms. There is also a library, family room and two wood
burning fireplaces. The main level features two bedrooms and one
bathroom. The lower level offers one bedroom, one bathroom and a
family room. Linens are provided and there is a washer and
dryer. Other amenities include a TV, VCR, DVD player, stereo,
outdoor gas BBQ, and an outdoor fire pit. In 2007 we installed a wireless
internet modem so bring your laptop.

ISLAND AMENITIES:
In additon to the views and wonderfull beaches, one of the most charming
features of the Island is Anderson’s General Store which is just a short walk.
Anderson’s stocks everything you might want or need while on
Guemes. On weekends, pick up cinnamon rolls. Breakfast is served
on weekends and lunch and dinner are served daily. You can sit on
the deck or at the bar and enjoy a meal, coffee, or drinks in the
heart of the Guemes Island community.
The store is open 7:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m-8:00 p.m.
