Becky's Mountain House in Linville

The is a gorgeous large 2 story home with 3 large porches, located on the lush back side of Sugar Mountain in one of the most beautiful areas in the North Carolina mountains!  The home has been totally renovated and is luxurious, spacious, and beautifully furnished.  

The home is secluded, has beautiful, tranquil views, but it easy to reach by car, and is close to everything you could want - shopping, churches, hospital, coffee shop/cafe with wi/fi, wonderful restaurants, golf, hiking, attractions, etc......

The home has 2 gas fireplaces, beautiful furnishings, huge kitchen with everything you might want to prepare and cook wonderful meals, and a two car carport.  Each of the three bedrooms has its own new bath with luxury towels and all amenities.  There is a laundry room with washer and dryer.

Three large porches provide gorgeous views!  The living room (that seats 8) and its very large screened enclosed porch (that seats 11) have beautiful and peaceful views.  The downstairs bedroom has a sliding glass door opening to an additional large private porch that overlooks the back yard and again has a great view.  The gigantic master suite has sliding glass doors that open to the very large second floor porch that yet again has awesome views.  The second upstairs bedroom has views overlooking a charming forested area.  The home has a flat front yard and a flat back yard (very unusual in the mountains) so that getting around outside is easy!    

Everything that you could want is included!  Entire home was recently completely renovated and updated!  The home is tastefully decorated with comfort and luxury in mind.   The home has an open floor plan that results in a spacious, light and bright, (but still cozy), feel. 

You will love the large great room that easily seats 8 that includes a large stone gas fireplace and a new large flat screen TV.  There is a large dining area that can also seat 8 that opens to the kitchen and living room.  A breakfast bar overlooks the kitchen. 

The kitchen is huge with beautiful white wood cabinets and new appliances -large refrigerator/freezer, stove with large oven and 4 burners, dishwasher and microwave.  All cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, place mats, spices, etc. are all supplied. 

There is a downstairs bedroom and full bath that sleeps 2 in a Queen size bed.  That bedroom has its own private large porch overlooking the beautiful backyard!

Upstairs are 2 giant bedrooms.  The master bedroom, with King size bed, has its own gas fireplace and its own private full bath.  The master opens through sliding glass doors to a huge second floor porch that has incredible views!

The second upstairs bedroom has a full bed and a single bed with its own private bath.  That bedroom has beautiful views of a peaceful wooded area. 

Visit Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain for the best in North Carolina skiing during the winter and great mountain biking and hiking in the spring, summer and fall.  Go sledding, tubing, fishing, zip lining, or golf at the many wonderful local courses!   

Take a ride on the incredibly beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway - less than 2 miles away.   Explore Grandfather Mountain and its famous swinging bridge!  Hike at Linville Falls, and visit the famous Linville Caverns.  Enjoy shopping in the quaint town of Blowing Rock, or at the many local antique shops! 

Go to Banner Elk, just minutes away, for wonderful restaurants, art shows and the famous Wooly Worm Festival.

See the outdoor drama of "Unto These Hills" in Boone, or enjoy productions at Appalachian University, Lees McCrae College, and at the Blowing Rock Playhouse. Take a ride on the historic Tweetsie Railroad!

Or, you can do what I like to do best - RELAX on one of the three large porches, enjoy the views, listen to the birds, read a book, drink some coffee, then stroll inside and sit by the fire, enjoy a glass of wine, and continue to RELAX!
