vacation rental description
A newly renovated house above the Ausable River with sweeping hillside and mountain views. 15 minutes from Whiteface Mountain Ski Center, 25 minutes from Lake Placid, 20 minutes from Mt. Van Hoevenberg (bobsled/luge runs), and 20 minutes from Lake Champlain. We are on the Ironman cycle route. The house is fully surrounded by a large yard with plenty of room for children to play, family activities, and parties.
house rental amenities
This house offers two large bedrooms (two queen and one full) to sleep six, one and one-half baths, and a large kitchen with adjacent dining area. Additional features include an Adirondack fireplace, outside fire pit, outdoor hot tub, and LP grill. Private river access is great for swimming, tubing, and fishing. Other amenities include two televisions, a stereo, and wifi. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals except the food itself. There is a brand new "Adirondack Room" which includes an authentic stone fireplace, a large bar, and a 51" flatscreen TV.
All linens are included with the exception of the adirondack room. You will need to bring sheets (if you wish) and blankets for each of the two queen-sized foutons. Pillows are provided.
activities and attractions in Whiteface Mountain Adirondacks
The property is centrally located for many winter and summer activities such as skiing, ice climbing, boating, fishing, hiking, and biking. Many people choose to go into Lake Placid for the day to shop, visit the many Olympic venues, which include the Olympic arena, ski jumps, and Mt. Van Hovenberg, where folks can take a bobsled ride. One must also take advantage of the many wonderful restaurants. The Whiteface Mountain Ski area offers gondola rides in summer and fall. This is the best way to see the autumn leaves and breath-taking mountain views. Boating, water skiing, and dinner cruises are favorites on Lake Champlain and Lake Placid. Wilmington and Jay are popular for their fly fishing. Whatever activity you choose, you will most certainly enjoy your experience in the Adirondacks.
