Casa De Velas (House of Sails) is a three bedroom villa located on the Riviera Maya. This villa is one of six that make up the Villas of Sian-Ka'an in Playacar Phase II, the
exclusive gated resort community of Playa del Carmen. The six villas share a very large pool and palapa area with bathroom that is perfect for parties. Enjoy sitting on the villa's terrace overlooking the 6th tee of the Robert Von Hagge designed golf course, widely recognized as one of the top golf courses in the world. This 7202 yard, par 72 layout is as beautiful to look at as it is exciting to play.

Amid a tropical Caribbean climate, spectacular natural beauty and
Mayan culture, Casa De Velas inspires relaxation, tranquility, and a
feast for the senses. The large living room has seating for 8 and a
built-in entertainment center with satellite tv and a home theater
system for enjoying your favorite DVD's, CD's, or VCR tapes. The
fully equipped kitchen awaits the amateur chef or ask us
about hiring a cook for your stay. Enjoy your meals at the kitchen
dining table, counter bar stools, or at the patio table overlooking
the pool. The three bedrooms all have private bathrooms with shower
and the master bath consists of a large tub and separate shower.
Each bedroom has its own terrace. The Casa is fully air conditioned
with individual room controls.

Property sleeps 6 but villa next door can also be rented in order to sleep a total of 12.

As a guest of Casa De Velas, you may use the Playacar VIP card that
entitles you to receive discounts at the Reef Club Playacar, a
beachfront resort. There is no charge for use of the beach, lounge
chairs, or pool, however, for $40 for adults and $20 for children
(between the hours of 9am-6pm or 6pm-2am), you can enjoy all-
inclusive privileges including unlimited meals, snacks, beverages,
and alcoholic drinks plus use of the on-site gym and all non-motor
sports activities. There is also a kid's area which has adult
supervision. (PLEASE NOTE: The Reef Club has the right to deny
access to rental guests if they have met their maximum occupany on
any given day).

The Crocodile Farm: This attraction is about 5 minutes north of
Puerto Morelos going toward Cancun, about a 25 minute drive from
Playa. Even though it might look like a tourist trap, it really is
quite nice. A lot of fun for families. Animals to hold and good
picture opportunities. For the price of your admission, a guide will
stay with you for the first half of the tour. Ask that he remain to
the end and tip him accordingly. A fun cloudy morning adventure!

Xcaret: This nature park is fun for the entire family and is similar
to many we have in the United States. The admission fee is
approximately $45 for an adult. There is a swim-with-the-dolphin
program (call early for a reservation, $90 for 1 hour). There are
animals to see, underground rivers to snorkel, beaches to relax on,
sea turtles, and other marine life to explore. The Mayan show
at night is great. Many upscale restaurants. Plan on spending a full
day and evening at Xcaret. Only 5 minutes south of Playacar.

Xel-ha: Xel-ha is very similar to Xcaret but more natural. Perhaps
more fun for adults. For an entrance fee of $45, it is ALL
INCLUSIVE. This includes a locker, snorkel equipment and ALL food
and drink!! A terrific deal. This attraction can be included with a
tour of Tulum, which can be arranged through any travel agency in
town. Transportation included.

Puerto Aventuras: Another resort community with a marina, only 15
minutes south of Playacar. A nice place to have a drink and watch
the dolphins. They have a great swim-with-the-dolphins program for
kids. There is a dive shop there, Mike Madden Dive Aventuras (984)
873-5031, which is supposed to be the best in the area.. They
provide transportation from Playacar hotel zone.

Aviary Xaman-Ha: Located right in Playacar. This bird sanctuary is
1.8 hectares of jungle that�s home to over 200 birds from 60
species. A lovely area. Be sure to bring your camera and insect
repellent! A modest entrance fee.

Reservations require a 50% deposit within 7 days of booking for
confirmation. The balance of rental plus security deposit ($500 US)
must be received 31 days prior to the arrival date. Holiday rentals
(Christmas, New Years, and Easter) require a 7 day minimum
stay.
