Ideally located just over the Bourne Bridge between canal waters and harbor on a picturesque private island connected via causeway, is this lovely spacious water view three bedroom two bath cottage which sleeps 6 plus comfortably.Mashnee Island is a quiet hidden away retreat with only about 120 houses on it. You can swim, fish, kayak, bike to the nearby canal or just relax! The location could hardly be better in this family neighborhood with private beaches surrounding it.

The home has a lovely covered side deck off of dining area with grill and patio furniture for relaxing. This airy dining room opens into an inviting fireplaced living room with 42 inch flat screen television. This ranch style home easily lends itself to having all three bedrooms located on the main floor where there are 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. An added bonus is a comfortably furnished fireplaced family room downstairs with sleep sofa and also the 2nd full bathroom on this level.

With the summer quickly coming to an end and the fall beginning, come experience the fun and majestic beauty of the cape. The cooler weather brings enjoyable bike rides, long walks on the beach, and pleasant hikes through colorful New England cape areas.  With the weather still warm, you can still enjoy a lot of the summer activities without the crowds. 

Summer Time Fun

After a day at the conveniently located beach, return to the delightful experience of an outside hot and cold shower. This is a great area for families to enjoy quality time. Limited traffic so bring the bikes for riding or swim at private beach just a short five minute walk from the house!  The fishing is great too! Bring your rods and catch that blue or stripper. 

Fall Enjoyment

Horseback riding, long nature walks or hikes through the nature reserves are part of the past times. If you would rather drive around and get acquinted to the peaceful backroads or go to the local outlets, these are always good choices too.

Winter with us

Okay, the holidays are over, and the long, cold winter is looming ahead with no end in sight. Now what? Plenty, that's what! There's plenty to do on the Cape in the winter, if you know where to look. Come to the library, The Jonathan Bourne, for quiet treasures for the younger set, or more active, The Gallo Ice Center both are all a short ride from our home. When the day is ending bring dinner in or go out to one of the local restaurant and enjoy the cape hospitality. 

The old adage "The best things in life are free" is never more appropriate than at this time of year. Simply bundle up and take a hike through the Cape's many nature conservatories and parks, or along our beautiful shoreline. Sometimes it's just what you need to get back to nature and stretch those sorely negleted muscles. Otherwise, there are times when nothing beats curling up with a good book, a hot cup of tea (or glass of wine!) and relaxing in front of a cozy fire.

Spring Break

After a winter, it is good to take a break from the normal everyday. A weekend or a week on cape to walk, think and enjoy the quiet.  Bike the canal, take a day trip to Ptown or Boston easy access to both. Come and get the benefits of the new season beginning again.
