Escape to the North Carolina High Country this summer!  Echota on The Ridge is a beautiful, new gated community loaded with amenities and featuring spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Echota is conveniently located off highway 105 between Boone and Banner Elk and is centrally located to all the hot spot areas of the High Country such as Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
 
Our condo is a beautifully decorated two bedroom, two bath condo located on the walk-out level (NO STEPS!) with all new furniture and all the comforts of home.  The master bedrooms features a California King Bed, large TV, a private bath and balcony access.  The guest bedroom features a private bath and queen size bed.  Plus the living room includes a sleeper sofa should you need extra space.  The kitchen features an upgraded side-by-side refrigerator with ice/water in the door, granite countertops, and everything you should need to prepare your own meal (or menus from our favorite local restaurants for dining out).  The deck will quickly become your favorite spot to enjoy your morning coffee or watch the sunset over the mountains in the evenings – after all, isn’t this really why we visit the NC mountains?!?

The amenities in Echota are unbeatable and will make the time you just want to hang out very relaxing.  On the Echota side of the property there is an indoor heated pool with a beach entry for little ones, a hot tub, a fitness center, a clubhouse and two stocked fishing ponds for your enjoyment.  On the Ridge side of the property there is a beautiful, outdoor pool surrounded by gorgeous landscaping with a backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Also on the Ridge side of the property there is another hot tub, a fitness center, a message therapy room and another clubhouse.  You may never want to leave the property!

When you are ready to venture out of Echota tons of activities await you.  Grandfather Mountain is a short drive away and offers loads to do, including hiking, picnicking, and the famous Mile High Swinging Bridge!  There are lots of other areas to hike, walk, or bike as well - many of the nearby towns feature trails, parks and greenways.  Plus the Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby and offers miles of beautiful scenery and hiking trails. 

Additionally, there are several ski areas nearby – Hawksnest, Appalachian, Beech and Sugar – for your winter time entertainment or hiking/walking/biking in the no-snow months.  This area is a true outdoor enthusiast’s haven!  If you’re looking for something more low-key, venture over to Banner Elk, Boone or Blowing Rock for some shopping and a great meal, or even a treatment at a spa.  Whether you spend a weekend or a month you will not be bored in this area as there are activities well suited for everyone!

The North Caroliina High Country is loaded with activities to please anyone.  Nearby towns include Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, and Blowing Rock.

There are many attactions within minutes of Echota including four major ski resorts, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Moses Cone Mansion, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, The Mast General Store, Tanger Outlet Center and Tweetsie Railroad.  Nearby colleges include Appalachian State University and Lees McCrae.
