activities and attractions in Sagamore Beach Cape Cod
Enjoy!: The path to the beach is steep but has a railing and is routinely used by young and old alike. Scusset Beach is also down the coast from the Rose Cottage Beach (a 7 minute drive). There are bike/roller blade trails (6-7 miles) along both sides of the Cape Cod canal which are free and open to the public. There are piers along the canal and a jetty to fish from. Bike into the village of Buzzards Bay and browse antique shops or have lunch. Travel a few minutes up Route 6 towards Wareham for a water park, go carts, bumper boats, etc. Old Plymouth Village, Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower, as well as whale watching and deep sea fishing expeditions are 15 minutes away in Plymouth. The Village of Sandwich and the Heritage Museum and Gardens, Sandwich Glass Museum, Hoxie House, Benjamin Nye House, Dexter Grist Mill and Thornton Burgess Society are also a 10-15 minute drive from the Rose Cottage.
