Vacation Rental Description

The charm of the Victorian era with the luxury of the 21st century. 
This comfortable house is nestled in a lovely suburban tree lined 
setting, with the convenience of walking to the Clark Art Institute, 
Williams College, and local Williamstown shopping and dining.  We are 
also close to many area attractions - walk to massage therapist, or 
better yet, have the therapist come to you (in-house massages 
available), walk to local health spa, 10 minutes from Mass MoCA (Mass 
Museum of contemptorary Art), and only 15 minutes from Jiminy Peak 
Ski Resort.

The historic House On Main Street was known as the Victorian Tourist 
& Antique House in a by-gone era. It was originally constructed in 
the mid 1700's and was moved to this site, near where Fort Hoosac 
previously stood, around 1830. The house was visited by such famous 
personalities as President Woodrow Wilson, who enjoyed Thanksgiving 
dinner here in 1914. There were many additions and renovations before 
it was fully remodeled in 1986, taking great care to preserve the 
quality features of the house. Today there are six spacious, airy 
bedrooms for our guests to enjoy.

Entire Victorian House All Yours. It is ideal for Corporate 
Meetings/Retreats, Reunions, etc. Of course, it is also suitable for 
a single family. The house has 9 rooms - 6 bedrooms and 3 1/2  
bathrooms. The livingroom has a warm and well used fireplace with a 
great draw.  The house sleeps up to 16. There is also a large living 
room, laundry room, front porch & side screened porch and a huge 
country kitchen with two ovens and a gas stove. The home is fully 
equipped with sheets, towels, blankets, pillows, dishes, pots & pans, 
menus to area restaurants, and even family games.

    Sterling & Francine Clark Art Institute; Permanent collection 
includes one of the largest collections of Renoir 
paintings in the country.
    Mass MOCA (Massachusetts Museum Of Contemporary Art); A 27-
building, contemporary art-filled historic mill complex.
    Williams College Museum of Art; Collection includes the largest 
collection of Maurice & Charles Prendergast's work in any museum.
    Bennington Center for the Arts; Features Wildlife, Figurative Art 
of the West and Wind Sculptures.
    Norman Rockwell Museum; Founded in 1969 with the help of Norman 
and Molly Rockwell.
