The house is a post and beam structure inside with a Victroian style outside. It has an open floor plan with many windows with numerous views of the St. Lawrence River. It is directly across from Clayton, New York and has two docks; 30 feet long and 60 feet long. It has two hundred feet of waterfront with a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence River. The property is accessable to the rest of Grindstone Island and is located in a cove just off the main channel of the St. Lawrence River. Transportation to the island is by boat.

It has solid cherry hard wood floors on the main floor and heart pine floor on the second floor. There are two lofts, one overlooking a solid granite fireplace and the other reached by ladder in the master bedroom. All appliances are new with an electric stove, dishwasher, electric refrigerator, electric washer and dryer. The property has a brand new water system that keeps the water soft and purified. A very large deck and patio is connected to the side of the property that has numerous views of the St. Lawrence River. It comes with Kayaks and swimming gear. It features a large bookcase, butcher block and fold out sofas.

Situated in a small cove, it has a small beach directly in front of the property for canoeing, swiming and other water sports. The property is at water level for on the water experience. It is positioned on a peninsula with three other houses affording you the privacy from roads and other houses. Activities on Grindstone include Potter's Beach, the Grindstone School House/Church and two Town Landings. Grinstone Island is 3 miles wide and six miles long with road that takes you back in time.
