Lovingly maintained. Beautifully restored. This is what I imagine "old Florida" to have been. My husband and I spent a memorable week here. He spent his boyhood (in the 1930s and 40s) in Port St. Joe and remembers this cottage being here then. It IS authentic and not just a replica of what would have been here then. The lagoon and the trees are a beautiful site. It is wonderful to fish off the pier. And, the beach is a short walk away. It will always stand out in my memory as one of our favorite rentals.

Just Perfect!

Review submitted: August 7, 2013   Date of arrival: July 14, 2013

Wow! The best family vacation for us hands down! We are a family of 5.. our 3 kids are 2, 7, and 10. Each of them had the time of their life and we had a much needed vacation. The home is so comfortable and cozy. After a few days we felt like we lived there; a feat for our family! We would spend hours on the dock while our 2 yr old napped , fishing and kayaking with the girls. We caught so many crabs and had so much fun harvesting them for dinner. Thank you so much to Gogo and Ace for allowing us to experience Indian Pass the way is should be. We are ready to book it for life!

Best Yet!

Review submitted: April 2, 2012   Date of arrival: March 24, 2012

After spending one week in late March at Cloud 9, the conclusion was simple: this was our best family vacation yet! My wife and I previously visited the Indian Pass area last May and chose to revisit for Spring Break with our three children (ages 11, 7, and 4). We had plenty of room and the kids loved the Old Florida feel of the cottage. The owners were very pleasant to deal with as well--we hope to revisit the area and would likely stay at the Cloud 9 again if available.

The cottage is not only just a walk across the street to the beach but has a pier out on the bay. The first night there we baited the provided crab traps and caught 9 blue crabs with ease. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils, etc. and so we had no problem harvesting and consuming our catch.

The catch across the street, via surf fishing, was just as good. We caught Pompano as well as other species. The kids loved seeing the various species of fish, most of which were released. Some however did make it to the dinner table.

The beach was beautiful and many activities were just 20-30 minutes away. We played putt putt just on the other side of Apalach and visited St. George Island and the Park thereon. The beach at St. George was amazing. At one point i could look in either direction on an eight mile stretch of beach and see no other persons than my family. After this, we visited St. George Beach for a second day--and it was just the same--nearly all ours!

Port St. Joe, just twenty (20) minutes away also had lots to offer in the way of dining and obtaining necessities (groceries, beach gear, etc.). Apalach offered the same, maybe a few more restaurants, and additionally some old storefront arts/crafts/etc. type shopping.

My wife drove to panama city shopping one day while my seven year old son and I rented and pontoon and went fishing in the Port St. Joe Bay. We caught many large fish really easily. The girls did well in Panama City as well and scored a bunch of good deals (or so i hear).

Anyhow, don't hesitate to try Cloud 9. I rarely write reviews but just feel compelled because of the amazing time my family just spent there.

Thanks to Ace and Gogo for taking such good care of us!

Best regards,

Joey
