The Acres - Close to Everything Yet Spacious & Private in Interlochen

Summer 2012- 2 weeks available in June, 10 days available in July, 10 days available in August.

This unique all season vacation home is nestled on 5 very private acres of land yet located within walking or driving distance to all the local attractions.

We are located just 5 minutes from Interlochen Arts Academy & Music Festivals, 20 minutes from Crystal Mountain golf & skiing or Traverse City shopping, dining and summer events.   Bring your fishing boat, canoe, kayaks & water toys.  We are walking distance to public access (only 2/10th of a mile) to beautiful Green Lake.

Whether  watching the sun rise over a cup of coffee on the porch, or roasting marshmallows at night in the fire pit, you will no doubt see curious deer or perhaps turkeys as they graze the surrounding woods.   

This bright and airy home has a spacious floor plan (2000 sq ft), is newly remodeled and is tastefully yet comfortably furnished. (Not your typical cottage décor).  With 2 complete levels of living space, it is perfect for sharing with another couple, families with grandparents or older children or just for a girl's getaway.   

One level boasts a fully furnished, completely outfitted kitchen with dishwasher, formal dining room, 3 bedrooms, full bath, full laundry room and living room with cable TV. 

The second level features another living room with cable TV, a kitchenette with sink, fridge & micro, a full bath, office and  a master bedroom en suite (complete with an adjoining lounge area perfect for relaxing with a book and glass of wine). 

We provide internet, cable TV and long distance phone calls.  In addition to a separate office area for computer access, the entire house is equipped with WIFI internet.

We also provide all bed & bath linens, paper products and soaps.  We do not charge extra for cleaning.  That’s right - NO CLEANING FEES.   

2 AIR CONDITIONED BEDROOMS, FREE WiFi,  Cable TV, VCR, Stereo, CD Player, Full Kitchen, Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Ice Maker, Cooking Utensils provided, Washer, Dryer, Garage, Gas Grill (BBQ), and Fire pit.

In summer there are all sorts of fun things going on ...

The Arts Academy has music concerts throughout the summer, and in Traverse City, the beaches on the bay are rated the best freshwater beaches in the country.  There are wine tastings in shops downtown and many of the wineries feature wine tasting tours throughout the year.   The main street is blocked off in Traverse City on Friday evenings for FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE, where people can meander through the shops, listen to street bands and sample the many FABULOUS restaurants.

Then there is, of course, the Cherry Festival July 3 -10th - a week long event featuring local and well-known live bands daily, carnival rides, and the US Navy Blue Angels, just to name a few. 

The Traverse City Film Festival is another July event that features a series of selected films shown at the newly refurbish State Theatre downtown.   Additionally, there are free movies shown at dusk in the open air park on Grand Traverse Bay.  Food and drinks during the film fest are VERY REASONABLE which makes this event very affordable for familys with kids- they'll have lots of fun too.   

Finally don't forget the 4th of July fireworks on Grand Traverse Bay- simply the best in Northern Michigan.
