Charming home on Lake Garfield in scenic Monterey. Offers spacious living room with a knotty-pine, open rafter ceiling, an artisan-crafted fireplace and a scenic view of the lake.
Updated, eat-in kitchen, LR, pantry, full bath and 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor. Upper level consists of 2 additional, larger bedrooms with skylights and a deck as well as an additional bathroom. There are 2 queen-size beds, one full-size bed and a room wih 2 twin beds.
There is an attached deck accessible off the living room on the lakeside. There are 2 docks and an open lawn area.

Dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer are on the premises. Bedding and towels are provided. Kitchen is stocked with dishes, flatware, coffeemaker and necessary pots and pans.
A canoe and rowboat are available for use at tenant's own risk. There is deck furniture, umbrella. and a grill as well as flotation devices for water activity. The water goes out very gradually so it is an excellent spot for young children and non-swimmers.
Monterey has a town beach with lifeguards and is an ideal place for parents to take their children to play with other kids and give mom and dad "a break".

Monterey is located 10 minutes from Great Barrington which contains many varied dining experiences along with a variety of shops with something for everyone. Monterey is a great spot for "leaf peepers" and the fall foliage is gorgeous!
Monterey is 15 minutes from downtown Stockbridge and the Berkshire Botanical Gardens as well as the Norman Rockwell Museum and Chesterwood. Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow and the Berkshire Playhouse are easily a 30 minute drive.
Monterey is convenient to many local ski areas such as Butternut Basin, Catamount, Bousquet, Otis Ridge, Jiminey Peak and Berkshire East.
The area features many antique shops, art galleries as well as farmstands with locally grown produce.

Rate calculations are based upon length of stay and the time during the season. July 1st through Labor day rate are prime in-season rates though there is some flexibility. A 3-night minimum is required. Rates are discounted for a longer length of stay.
