Rainbow Cabana in Galveston

This comfortable 1940's cottage was totally renovated in 2008. It is all new and updated with a nice,fully furnished kitchen. There are comfortable seating in the living room while watching a 46" flat screen TV that includes cable and a DVD player. There is free  WiFi  for your use while visiting. The large covered back deck offers seating and a dining table for your pleasure, along with a gas grill. The home is near the Historic East End District where you will find wonderful Victorian homes and tree sculptures from trees damaged by Hurricane IKE. We are within walking distance to the Seawall and the beaches and the New Pleasure Pier!!! We are also located less than a mile to the Historic Strand District and Port. There you will find live theater, shopping and many wonderful restaurants. If you prefer a water park, we are about 5 miles from Schlitterbahn, and Moody Gardens.  Bishop's Palace and the Moody Mansion are also close by, two fabulous turn of the century family homes open for guided tours.

$49 insurance protection. This is non-refundable but covers the home for $1500.

• The Kitchen - The kitchen is fully furnished. Pots,pans and cooking utensils. Dishes, serving dishes, glasses, pitchers, toaster,microwave, coffee pot,blender.
• The living room - We offer a 46" flat screen TV, cable and a DVD player. Comfy seating for 5. This room also has a queen size sofa sleeper.
• The Dining Room - The table is a bar style table with seating for 6.
• The 2nd floor Bedroom - located on the 2nd floor there is a bedroom with a king size bed. And a closet to hang your clothes.
• The Down Stairs Bedroom - We call this the great room. It is a large room that has a queen size bed, a convertible full size sofa sleeper and  a queen sofa sleeper. A game table and a nice closet to hang your clothes. The 2nd bathroom is also located in the great room.
• Sitting area - Off of the living room is a nice cozy room that has a rocking chair and a desk. This would be a great place to sit and read, or catch a quick nap in the afternoons.
• The Covered Back Deck - Off of the kitchen is a large covered deck. There is a dining table and a gas grill there for your use.
• Garage - We offer a 1 car garage for your use. There is also street parking and a driveway for one car.
• The yard around the home is small, gated.  

The cottage is located 4 blocks from the Seawall and the beaches of the Island. Approximately 1 mile from the cottage, north, you will find the Historic Strand District. There you will find wonderful shopping, dining and even live theater. Also in the Strand at Piers 21 and 23 you will find the 1877 sailing ship Elissa, the Texas Seaport Museam and the Seagull II, that will take you out for tours of Galveston Harbor. On Broadway Blvd you will find 2 Victorian turn of the century mansions. The Bishops' Palace and also Moody mansion, both available for tours. About 4 miles from the cottage are Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn water park. In the sitting area at the cottage, you will find discount coupons for many of the Galveston attractions. The new Pleasure Pier is an easy walk from the home as well.   

• Rates are based on time of year and special events and require a 2 night minimum unless otherwise specified.
• Seasons are as follows: 
• Spring -- Apr 1 2013 to May 25 2013
• Summer -- May 26 2013 to Sep 4 2013
• Fall -- Sep 5 2013 to Nov 1 2013 
• Lone Star Rally --  Nov 1 2013 to Nov 4 2013 - 3 night minimum  
• Winter  -- Nov 5 2013 to Mar 31 2013
• Certain special events are at a higher rate, please call for information
• The home is not reserved half of the rental amount and insurance is received.
• Full payment is due two weeks prior to check-in or reservation will be cancelled and deposit forfeited.
• Cancellations within 30 days of reservation will forfeit deposit.
• Some rentals require a security deposit.
• Check-out is 11am and check-in is 4 pm unless otherwise advised.
• Credit Cards are accepted via Paypal or the Vacation Rentals site.
