Charming 2-story cottage with balcony on a gentle slope overlooking Lake Patzcuaro located at the edge of the historic town of Tzintzuntzan within walking distance to center of town, 20 minute drive to famed Patzcuaro, 45 minute drive to Morelia capitol of the state and colonial jewel designated a World Heritage Site. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, sleeps 6: couple in a double bed in main bedroom, bunkbeds in second bedroom suitable for 2 children or adults, sofa bed in living room accomodates 2 additional guests.
Minimum stay is 3 nights. Single rate regardless of season, so book early for special events. Managed by local property manager who is fully bilingual, English/Spanish.

Large picture window in kitchen allows view of lake while cooking. Pressurized water system. Relax in the covered patio and large terrace overlooking the lake. A barbecue grill is available on the terrace. Accordion gates accomodates 2 parked vehicles in front. Property it totally fenced in for security.

Patzcuaro is a year-round destination for many visitors from around the world. The town preserves its past, with its early colonial flavor. Attractions include its 4 plaza, all within walking distance of each other. Frequent ferries to the famed island of Janitzio. Pre-Columbian archeological sites throughout the region, with Ihuatzio and Tzintsuntzan nearby. Towns around the lake specializing in different crafts: wood, pottery, copper, textiles, and many other crafts. Nearby Lake Zirahuen offers lake activities, including camping and boating. An hour away is Uruapan, in the heart of avocado country that boasts renowned Jose Ruiz National Park, with natural springs gushing from the canyon walls forming a strong rushing river. The many springs are channeled into fountains and other water spectacular water displays. Not to be missed. Driving farther South to the pacific Coast takes you to the resorts of Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. A place to relax and dine at the beach.

Rates are the the same regardless of season, so first come first serve. Book early for those special events. Rate is progressively discounted for longer stays: 1 week is $240, 2 weeks is $420, 3 weeks is $600, 4 weeks = 1 month is $700, 2&3 months is $650/mo, for longer stays, 4 months and up is $600/mo. Night rate is for 3 nights minimum. Sleeps up to 6 persons. Property is managed by local property manager who is English/Spanish bilingual.
