Maunabo is an old fashioned town on the south east side of the island facing the Caribbean Sea.

The rental unit is in a gated, private & secure location. You will enjoy continuous gentle breezes in this spacious (1209 sq ft) unit with 3 bedrooms, 2 balconies, 2 baths & 2 private parking spots. New construction, decorated and furnished for your comfort.

The development is across the street from a mile long beach & within a 5 minute drive from other beaches. You will swim in clear Caribbean water & enjoy water activities.

All bedrooms, as well as the living area, have views of the ocean & of a 1892 Spanish lighthouse. Master has a balcony. The community has 2 pools, jacuzzi, tennis court & a half basketball court. Cable TV & WIFI.

This unit is excellent for a family, a couple or group of adults who want to "get away from it all".

The condo unit is very spacious. It comfortably sleeps six with a queen bed in one bedroom, a full bed & a futon in the second bedroom & two twin beds in the third bedroom. All three bedrooms have ocean views, plus the master has balcony overlooking the ocean. Only the masterbedroom is air conditioned.

The dining / family area has a TV with US cable channels, DVD player, radio, books. In addition, there is internet with wireless access. There is ocean view from family area & a second balcony.

The full kitchen includes refrigerator/freezer, microwave, oven with 4 ring stove, toaster and coffee maker. In addition, the kitchen is fully stocked with spices, cutlery and china. Iron & board are included.

There are two bathrooms, one in the master suite & a second in the hallway. The master bath has toilet, bidet, tub/shower, and jacuzzi in tub. The second bathroom has a toilet & tub/shower. Hair dryer is included.

The complex where the apartment is located offers several opportunities for entertainment.  In addition to the two pools, there is a tennis court and a half basketball court, plus a playground and a kiddie pool for the younger ones.  Also, there is a mile long beach, right across the street from the complex

The beaches in Maunabo are among the most pristine in the Island.  In addition to the Punta Tuna beach, closest to the complex, there are two more excellent  beaches in Maunabo, great for sunbathing, swimming, beachcoming, pier fishing and snorkeling.  Within a 20 minute drive, going either north or south, there are several other beaches, plus opportunities for deepsea fishing, sailing, scuba diving and windsurfing. The area around Maunabo is excellent for ecotourism, scenic drives, hiking, biking and birdwatching.

No visit to Puerto Rico is complete without a tour of Old San Juan, a walled Spanish city dating to the 1500’s and still a vibrant living and working space, or to El Yunque Rainforest, the only forest of its kind within the US Park Service system.  Both are within an hour’s drive from the unit.

There are several restaurants in Maunabo, most serving good, fresh, simple fare.  Further afield are numerous restaurants which are weekend destinations for the San Juan crowd.  There is a binder in the apartment with information about places to eat.

Rates are the same throughtout the year.  All fees and taxes are included.  

The rate os  $100 is per additional night, with a minimum of $500.  

Weekends are at $500 for a two or three night stay.
