vacation rental description
At the residential, quiet south end of Hutchinson Island, near the exclusive, Sailfish Point gated community, my rustic chic BEACHWALK split 2/2 MBR layout affords privacy/intimacy for couples. This recently updated, spring 2011, main level condo, with understated elegance, is just steps from IRP's oceanfront setting with Tiki Hut, new landscaped cabanas w/double hammocks , and additional pool/spa experience.
Gorgeous 6" hand-scraped hickory floors flow throughout. Natural bamboo roman shades create a tropical aura. French doors open to spacious 17' X 17' full screened/glassed lanai which provides soft ambiance, while embraced by lush tropical vegetation. Dine at the lanani wicker/glass table for four, or become absorbed in a great read while relaxing in a wicker chair/ottoman with drink of choice! A Dining room also provides seating for four with two new wood and upholstered chairs (not in photo) The generous MBA, with jacuzzi tub, invites romantic, candlelit interludes, while the spacious 1550sf footprint affords comforts of an intimate home.
The updating, completed May 2011, reflects a labour of love! I look forward to sharing a slice of natural beauty and tranquility with others.

MUST DOs:
1. Bathtub Beach (worm reef buffers surf) and south along Sailfish Point's scenic coastal property, which stretches to the Manatee/Indian River channel...great early morning jog or stroll. Go at low tide to bask in the sun on the sandbars in crystal clear waters..the kids will NOT want to leave (nor will you!) Paddleboarding or kayaking near the reef great fun since shallow and clear!
2. a 10 min drive to historic Stuart's riverfront setting with river-boardwalk, free riverfront concerts, the historic Lyric Theatre, several fabulous restaurants, some with sidewalk cafes; (menus in dining area cabinet) Curb and lot parking free...
DINING Recs: Pelican Cafe along Stuart's riverfront boardwalk (great fish tacos and specials with 1/2 off beer/wine 3-6p) Riverwalk Oyster Bar, in its historic brick building, offers intimate ambiance and unique, fresh seafood cuisine (BEST oysters) with lunch specials until 4p. For a unique after theatre experience, try the Crush Wine Bar, near the dramatic marlin fountain. Boutique shoppes and artistic touches are sprinkled throughout the intimate downtown setting.
Best Chicago style pizza: Pusateri's on Ocean Blvd, just a few blocks south of historic Stuart. If enjoy thai cuisine, Thai Bistro, on south US 1, truly has the best, with lovely ambiance. Latin fusion prepared at Tapas, Plantation Plaza, north of Central Pkwy/US1, offers old world ambiance.
Back across one bridge, on Sewalls Point, the Prawnbroker and Benihana attract island crowd. In addition, riverfront Dolphin Shrimp House, a short distance north along Sewalls Road, offers rustic appeal. For very special occasion, experience intimate, culinary artistry of 11 Maple Street, housed in an old florida bungalow, in Jensen Beach (reservations advised)
3. historic House of Refuse less than a mile south...relax in the porch rockers and gaze over the surf
4. outdoor marine aquarium, Oceanographic Coastal Center, a short walk north along the walking/biking path, just before Publix
5. Manatee Pocket waterfront restaurants in Port Salerno, a quaint fishing village just 20 min via scenic St Lucie Blvd (cross back over two bridges then turn left/south) Directly over the water, Shrimpers has live music and sunset specials 4-7p...Try their skewered jerk shrimp.
