The River Place is a year-round vacation house on the Red Cedar River.
It is a 100-year-old log
house with a large new addition. You will find it has all been
refurbished and has the modern
conveniences without losing the rustic charm. You will have the
opportunity to step back in time to
a simpler lifestyle. Why not hike the wood trails, watch the soaring
eagles return to ther nests
along the river and watch the deer feed in the fields before sunset?

In the 2,400 square feet, you can sleep eight or more in the three
bedrooms, loft and sleepers in
the living room, Expect also to find 1-1/2 bathrooms, a separate
dining room, living room, porches
(screened and open), new completely furnished eat in kitchen with
dishwasher, two air conditioners,
decorative fireplace style gas stove and plenty of electric heating
units, high-speed
Intenet,satellite television,DVD and VHS, unlimited telephone within
the U.S., and is smoke-free.
You have the privacy of 200 acres of fields, woods, wildlife and a
chance to explore the mile or
more of river front with a dock and other landings, giving you the
option to fish, tube and swim.
There is a covered pavilion capable of seating 75 people if you want a
private party. The River
House is two miles from Chetek with all the summer activities
available in a lake resort town. We
