Casa Viva - Adobe Charm with Easy Walk to the Plaza in Santa Fe

Welcome to our lovely home in Santa Fe.  Casa Viva is situated in the best of both worlds.  It is an easy walk to town, and it has mountain and sunset views.  At night you can see the twinkle of stars and Santa Fe city lights.  It takes just 10 minutes to walk from our front door to the Plaza and the many excellent galleries and shops and restaurants nearby.  In 7 minutes you can walk to the Ft. Marcy Community Center and enjoy their outdoor playhground, indoor  swimming pool and fully-equipped gym and variety of drop-in classes.  Fabled Canyon Road, the NM Museum, St. Francis Cathedral, the Capitol Rotunda, a fine movie house, two supermarkets and a post office are all within walking distance.  Short easy drives will take you to the Santa Fe Opera, the mountains for skiing or trekking, the vibrant area colleges, and great local hiking places.  An idyllic area!

Our home is southwestern/contemporary, featuring adobe walls, vigas, kiva fireplace, mexican sinks and tile floors, Santa Fe style furniture and original art.  There are two entryways, one from the front patio and one from the garage.  The upper level has an airy, light-filled living room with a ceiling fan.  Off the living room is a deck with lovely views.  The dining room seats six and has a skylight.  Off the dining room area is another deck with views and a patio table with seating for four.  The kitchen, also with skylight, is fully equipped.  It has a gas stove, microwave, ice-maker, dishwasher, disposal, and purified water faucet.  There is a half-bath off the front hall.

Downstairs are two large bedrooms.  Each bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan, night tables and dresser, window shutters, large walk-in closet, and adjoining bathroom.  One bathroom has a jacuzzi tub plus separate shower, and the other bathroom has a shower without tub.  From each bedroom there is an exit to our charming enclosed patio and its sculpture-chairs by artist R.C. Albin.  Off the master bedroom is a sitting-room/bedroom area with a twin organic bed and, if wanted, a crib.  The downstairs area also includes a washer and dryer and fully supplied linen closet.  Ideal for a family or two couples.

Wireless internet service is included, as is free long distance calling.  There is a large screen LCD TV with cable servie and a DVD player.

Discounts: 10%  WEEKLY DISCOUNT; 20% MONTHLY DISCOUNT

For stays longer than one month the discounted rate is negotiable.

Additional: $100 - $125 cleaning fee; Deposit: 30% deposit required to hold your requested dates (deposit will be used as a refundable cleaning/damage deposit.)  It will be returned if you cancel within 2 weeks as long as we are able to book that time.

Maximum rates for high seasons: June, July, August, September, October, Thanksgiving Week, and Christmas and New Year's Weeks.

Minimum rates are for low season: all other times.
