Kauai Garden Cottages in Kalaheo

Please come enjoy the relaxed rural setting of our two bedroom, two bath cottage (*rented as one unit), located south central on the island of Kauai. We are minutes away from the many beautiful beaches Kauai has to offer. Kauai Garden Cottages is 1000 feet above sea level, that offers cooler temperatures especially welcomed when time to retire for the evening.

The beautiful warm tropical woods, the unique reed matting on the ceilings, coved lighting, granite counters and many other custom detailed architectural touches make the suites at Puulima Road a magical place to spend your Kauai vacation.  Thetwo separate entrancesuites are ideally suited for two friends or couples who are on vacation together or a small family. The convenience of our Kalaheo location is that you benefit from the seclusion of our 2 acre parcel with a stream at the bottom of the property, yet are close enough to be 5 minutes from some great local restaurants and 15 minutes to some of Kauai's most famous South Shore beaches. Twenty minutes to the Lihue airport and about 30 minutes to Waimea Canyon, you will find the Puulima Guest Suites are a good South Shore location to call your home base on Kauai.

• Each room opens onto a large shared open lanai with valley and tree top views. A large granite topped table and comfy sling chairs make it a great place for star gazing and having a glass of wine in the evening or enjoying a casual meal and doing some bird watching.

The Kauai Garden Cottages are conveniently located to many of Kauai’s most popular visitor destinations. A ten-minute drive will take you to the colorful Koloa town center where you will find a wide variety of gift shops, galleries and restaurants as well as historic landmarks and buildings. Koloa has a bank, post office and several grocery stores to choose from. Another five minutes down the road and you will arrive at one of the most popular and safest beach destinations on Kauai -- Poipu Beach. Close by is beautiful Mahaleupu Beach with horseback riding stables or ATV tours if you rather. Don’t miss Spouting Horn -- our own ocean geyser!

Also within a short drive you will be able to visit several of the local communities including Kalaheo and Hanapepe.  Kalaheo has several great eateries...don’t miss Brick Oven Pizza  and for a truely authentic and delicious taste treat - Pomodoro’s Italian Restaurant is not to be missed.  The Kalaheo Coffee Shop serves up all of your favorite coffee drinks and does a nice breakfast, lunch and diner. You’ll also find the Kalaheo Steak House close by serving up local beef and seafood.

Hanapepe town has become an artists colony and now hosts open gallery night every Friday night where you can meet and see the work of some of Kauai’s renowned as well as up-and-coming new artists. If Vegetarian fare is your cup of tea, or just for a cup of tea -- stop in at Hanapepe Cafe & Espresso. The Cafe does a lovely reservations only dinner with entertainment on Friday nights.
