Bring beach towels, fishing rods, golf clubs and any water recreation items you want, linens & indoor towels provided  (sheets, pillowcases, washcloths & towels) and enjoy a relaxing break lakeside.

Come in the fall and enjoy the peace and tranquility on the lake, the fall foliage or take in a local New England fair at the Oxford fairgrounds or in Fryeburg Maine

Our family stayed in this beautiful home summer 2012.

When we first entered, my husband stated, "Jackpot" because it was so much nicer than shown. Totally spotless, the immediate view of the lake was impressive, comfortable furnishings, etc. We felt right at home.

We have 3 young grandchildren all of whom were able to enjoy the lake daily. There is a sandy beach with a gradual incline to a
private cove which makes this the perfect lakefront for young ones. The kayak was a hit and used by all.

The large, downstairs windows allow you to see the stunning sunsets and the upstairs bedroom windows provide a relaxing atmosphere while in bed looking up at the stars.

The kitchen was equipped with everything necessary which made life easy. Having a washer and dryer was huge along with the two full baths. The outdoor shower was a bonus.

Roasting marshmallows on the beach in the fire pit was a favorite as was eating ice cream on the deck while listening to the loons.

I would highly recommend this location not only for what it has to offer but to Dave, the owner as well, who was a charm to work with.

We look forward to returning in summer 2013 knowing it will be an ideal vacation again for all.

Sheltered code, wonderful setting

We stayed in this beautiful cottage for 2 weeks. We have 3 children, the youngest age 6. There's a wide sandy beach for the kids to play. The property is located in a small sheltered cove protected by a small island, which creates a huge natural swimming area where there's no risk of the kids getting run over by a boat or a jet ski. We spent hours swimming, snorkeling, or just floating. There are some big rocks in the cove to swim out to and sit on, which the kids loved.

The large front lawn is sheltered on 3 sides, so you've got plenty of privacy. You can see the cottages through the trees on either side but they're not right on top of you.

There's a solar shower on the outside of the house which was great for a quick rinse after getting out of the lake.

The cottage itself is clean and well maintained. We had all the modern conveniences we needed, but the cottage still feels like "camp". We loved all the wood used in the interior. In the evenings we played games and watched the sunset.

The large deck facing the lake has a gas grill and a large table with an umbrella. We took most of our lunch and dinner there. We never strayed far from the water because the outdoor setting is why you come to a place like this.

The upstairs bedrooms all have skylights that can be opened. They also have blinds that can be rolled up and down. Look for the long handled skylight tool standing in the corner of one of the bedrooms. You'll find it very useful.

The owner was very easy to work with. No hassles at all. He checked on us early in our stay to make sure we settled in ok and there were no problems.

We would happily return to this cottage.

Excellent for Families with Small Children

We stayed at this house last year for a week. The house was exceptionally clean and the grounds were very well mantained.

My children loved the lake. There is a gradual slope and a cove like area that makes it great for children to swim in. The water is Crystal Clear for swimming. The Kayak and Canoe that was provided were great. Power Boats can be rented at Thompson Marina for reasonable rates

There is a WalMart nearby (less then 15 minutes) for all your shopping needs. An

Overall we had a great time. There are a couple of small things I would point out. If you do take a power boat out on the lake, make sure to get a chart of the lake, there are some rocks in unexpected places. Additionally there are some DVD's at the house, but no satellite and therefore no TV, would be nice to have for rainy days.

There were plenty of small minnow type fish that my kids enjoyed catching with nets, but overall the warm weather fishing in this lake is not good, or at least it wasn't last year

Overall a great place to stay,especially for a family with small children. I did mention some areas that could use improvement as I wanted to give a complete picture. The same as I would want if I was reading a review.
