vacation rental description
Welcome to our 1950's Florida inspired beach cottage. Sit down and transport yourself back to a time ...before cell phones...before the internet...before beach front high rise hotels. When times were a little simplier...a little happier...a little quietier! A time when...we had neighborhood barbeques...more time to spend with friends and family...and time to just relax and unwind.
Gull cottage's vintage decor may be reminesent of a 50's beach cottage but we have all the modern amenities including wireless internet! So, if you’re looking for a romantic get-away, a memorable weekend out with your friends, a successful fishing trip, or a family oriented vacation; you’ve found the perfect spot! Our newly remodeled coastal cottage is located only 40 miles south of Tallahassee off Hwy 98.
Gull Cottage located on Sunrise Lane is as beautiful as the street name suggests and is, undoubtedly, the place you’ll want to call home while on your vacation.

activities and attractions in Panacea Gulf Coast North
Fishing, boating, sight-seeing, or just laying out on the sand; whatever you’re looking for at the coast, the we have it all.
The location is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, but close enough to some of the most popular beaches. Only about 30 minutes from Wakulla Springs, 15 from Alligator Point, and a little over an hour from St. George Island and Apalachicola! The closest beach, Mashes Sands, isn’t even a half mile walk down the street.
If you’re looking for some of the best fishing around, it’s right here too. Speckled trout, Spanish mackerel, grouper, redfish, and many more! They can all be caught right off our coastline. Some can be caught right off the dock or at Mashes Sands beach! If you bring your boat you can launch it in the water on the next street over. Want to go deep sea fishing but don’t have a boat? No problem! You can simply charter a boat and head out into the beautiful gulf.
Wakulla Springs offers one of the most beautiful and one of the world’s deepest freshwater springs! With swimming, nature boat rides, even glass bottom boats during the day and an exquisite restaurant for dinner, Wakulla Springs is a place you don’t want to miss out on! Apalachicola, only a little over an hour away, is a quaint historic town with a population of only 5000! Once upon a time this was one of the largest cotton ports along the Gulf Coast and now it is left with dozens of shops, restaurants, and incredible elegant - old homes. Right here in Panacea we have a locally owned aquarium perfect for a lazy afternoon or a trip that the kids will love! Only about five minutes from the house.
Panacea, Carrabelle, and Apalachicola have restaurants that offer the freshest seafood around. Angelo’s is only a couple miles from the house and is well known all over North Florida and South Georgia for their amazing meals.
