Have you ever stayed in a real log cabin? This is the place. High on a mountain top at 4,000 ft. elevation; breath-taking view of the mountains. Will comfortably sleep six people. Queen size bed in master on first floor, loft with queen size bed. Lazy Boy hide-a-bed will easily sleep 2. Large woodburning fireplace for those chilly evenings and mornings. Early riser? Get up and have your coffee in a rocking chair under covered porch and enjoy a spectacular sunrise. Open deck with a family-size picnic table, a gas grill for those cookouts. A gazebo with hot tub for 4.

Mammy's Cabin is completely furnished. All linens furnished. Kitchen totally equipped with small and large appliances. No automatic dishwasher, so it paper plates, or an old fashioned dishwashing session. In the kitchen is a gas range, large refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, crock pot, waffle iron, coffee maker, and blender. Just bring your clothes and some food and you will never want to leave. Bathroom has tub/shower. You find many bath supplies just in case you forgot something. As well as many condiments in the kitchen for your use. There is also gas and electric heat if needed. Many books to read, binoculars for viewing the mountains, and a good selection of DVD's. There is satellite TV, radio and CD player. Just added Wi-fi; high speed internet. So if you are one of those that can't live without the computer, bring it with you.
activities and attractions in Franklin Smoky Mountains
Hiking is wonderful. Just walk out front door and take a hike. Franklin is the gem capital of the USA. Many Gem Mines in the area. Abundant in sapphires and rubies. Rafting and tubing are the big sports. Many beautiful good whitewater rivers for these activities. Franklin has a wonderful entertainment theatre with live plays and entertainment. Downtown Franklin on Saturday night, take a folding chair (at the cabin) and go downtown to the square (gazebo) and enjoy some good free entertainment. Lot of fun places to shop. Children enjoy the Fun Factory and the Franklin Bowling Alley. Need to check your e-mail? We have high speed now! Antiquing is very good in the area. Take a day trip to Asheville and visit the Biltmore Estate, Cherokee to visit the Indians and/or Harrah's Casino, Gatlinburg, and Dollywood. Many large beautiful waterfalls in the area. Visit Highlands (only 25 miles from Mammy's) and enjoy the scenic drive. On the way to Highlands, stop at Dry Falls and walk under the waterfall. Two 19 hole golf courses in Franklin. This can be the most fun and the most economical vacation you could possibly have.

$100.00 per night, with $100 deposit. $50.00 cleaning fee; Children & pets allowed. No more than 6 people, including children. Owner pays taxes, so rates are firm. Nothing added except cleaning fee. No pet fees. 3 nights minimum. Deposit returned if 10 day notice received. Otherwise applied to rent. Personal checks accepted.
