Welcome to Hunker Down, which is owner operated, managed and LOVED.  The cabin will sleep 4-5 people, 1 loft bedroom with a NEW Aspen bedroom set with a queen bed  and a half bath.  Downstairs is the living room (with a queen sleeper sofa), jacuzzi (2 person), “Mountain” room (with a futon), kitchen, full size washer/dryer and a full bath. The cabin is approximately 1,050 square feet and is ready for your enjoyment.  The property has a large yards with no mountain/cliff hangovers for your safety.  All guests also have the use of free WiFi, HBO, Netflix and local/long distance calling.

This cabin will give you the opportunity to hunker down, relax and enjoy all the attractions of the Great Smoky Mountains.  The cabin is located on Bluff Mountain where you can go in all directions to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Townsend.

This is a NON-SMOKING cabin and we do accept pre-approved dogs (maximum of 2 dogs, 50# or under with a pet fee).  Cats or other animals are not considered.

We will not rent to vacationing students or singlesunder 21 yearsof age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.

Enjoy a beautiful Smoky Mountain sunrise view from the deck! The yard has room for the kids (older and young) to play or enjoy the wonderful outdoors!  The cabin features a 2 sided porch with a great seasonal mountain view.  The porch is furnished with a 3-4 person hot tub, pub table, 4 porch rockers and a swing to enjoy the peaceful outdoor setting.  Ready to grill?  There is a Weber charcoal grill and Bahama chairs to relax while cooking and enjoy the view of the back mountainside.  Don’t forget to cut some fresh herbs (thyme and chives when in season) to add to your meals.

The kitchen is equipped with new refrigerator, stove and hardwood floors.  Are you a coffee lover?  There is a Keurig and an automatic drip coffee maker.  The kitchen also has a Chef’s Mat to pamper your feet after a long day of sight seeking or hiking.  Other appliances provided microwave, toaster, blender, hand mixer, crock pot, electric skillet, and electric griddle.

The “Mountain” room was named after the treated metal walls custom made by Mason.  The lower half of the wall is made with local white pine trees lapped with the treated bark left on for a primitive feel.  This room also has hardwood floors.  The full size washer/dryer is located in a closet in this room.  The room features a 32” flat screen TV, cable and BluRay with Netflix/Vudu/Pandora (with your own accounts).  A hickory and sassafras pub table in located in the room.

The living room has a wood burning fireplace (open October through March and wood provided), queen size sleeper sofa, recliner and a 2 person Jacuzzi.  This room has a 42” flat screen TV, High Def receiver, BluRay with Netflix (with your own account), and a Wii with games.

The bedroom is in the loft.  New Aspen log decor with a queen size bed with Egyptian Cotton Damask sheets for your comfort, closet, and ½ bath is in the loft.  The room features a 32” flat screen TV with a BluRay.

All guests are provided a good supply of linens, towels and starter supplies (dish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels).

• October 2013 - $110.00 per night, 2 night minimum required. Pay for 5 nights and Stay for 6 nights!
• November through December 2013 (Excluding Holidays) - $90.00  per night, 2 night minimum required.  Pay for 5 nights and Stay for 6 nights!
