This custom redwood cabin has lake views from almost every room, and is located just up the hill from lovely Sunnyside Restaurant and Lodge on the west shore of Lake Tahoe.  Couples are welcome to rent top half of the cabin (master suite, living, dining, kitchen, powder room, garage, outdoor deck) at a reduced rate; please inquire.  It is senior-friendly, with no stairs from the garage/street level. 

The cabin has 4 bedrooms that comfortably sleep 9, plus a loft that sleeps 2 more. There are two and a half bathrooms.  The cabin is ideally located just 4 blocks from trail heads and 1.3 miles from the private homeowners association beach, a small market, two great local restaurants and bike and kayak rentals.  Golf and shopping in Tahoe City are less then 4 miles away and wonderful Squaw Valley Resort is 9 miles away.

The cabin is only 15 miles to casinos at Cal-Neva Resort, 20 miles to the airport in Truckee, 30 miles to casinos and nightlife in South Lake Tahoe, approximately 50 miles to gambling and nightlife in Carson City or Reno, and 115 miles to Sacramento and the SMF international airport.

Seniors and those with limited mobility will appreciate that almost all of the living space is on the street level, including the living room with its cozy stone fireplace, the dining area with large dining table that comfortably seats 8, open kitchen, powder room, master suite with attached bathroom, large outdoor deck with picnic table and Weber BBQ, and a two-car garage.  Beautiful lake views can be enjoyed through 15+ ft windows in the living room, from a window seat in the dining area, and from the master suite. 

There is 10 mg high speed internet, expanded cable TV, and a stereo in the living room.  A wide selection of books, including information and maps about the area, are provided for your enjoyment.  Kids will have fun climbing the ladder to the loft above the living room, playing board games, and enjoying their own game room downstairs, with ping pong and foosball tables, and their own deck, all with lake views. 

The location is ideal for sports enthusiasts.  Hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing trail heads leading to beautiful Paige Meadows are a fun walk just 4 blocks up the hill. The beautifully maintained private beach club is just over a 1 mile down the hill, where you can sunbathe a few feet above the lake water on two wooden piers, sprawl on a blanket in the shade on one of the pretty lawn areas, or do a little grilling at one of the wooden picnic tables and charcoal BBQ pits.  Within view is the playground and horseshoes. There are also two great local restaurants within easy walking distance of the beach. 

The Tahoe City Golf Course and Truckee River rafting are 4 miles away.  Tahoe State Park is 3 miles away and has terrific walking paths with four-season wildlife viewing.  And, of course, Squaw Valley has a myriad of activities year-round. 

During winter the cabin is always rented for a ski lease lasting the entire season. There is a wide selection of ski resorts nearby: 6 miles to Homewood, 7 miles to Alpine Meadows, 9 miles to Squaw, 20 miles to Northstar, and 37 miles to beautiful Heavenly Valley.  Upon return from the slopes, relax in the two-person Jacuzzi tub located in the downstairs bathroom. 

This cabin is ideal for active sports enthusiasts and nature lovers, as well as for those interested in just relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends.  Very well-behaved pets are welcome only upon prior written approval.

ENTRY: shoe/coat room at the front door entry.

KITCHEN: all standard appliances, including dishwasher, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender.

DINING ROOM: spectacular lake views, table seating for 8, counter/bar seating for 6, lounge seat in window and access to deck with picnic table and Weber BBQ grill.

LIVING ROOM: stone fireplace, 15+ft windows with great views of lake, TV with 79 channels, DVD, CD, stereo, board games, and ladder leading to the loft.

LOFT: ladder from living room leads to loft with futon matresses that can sleep up to 3 children/young adults, and great lake view. 

POWDER ROOM: located off of the living room, near the door to the two car garage.

MASTER SUITE: twin beds (optional) converted to king, sliding glass door to deck and views of lake. Bathroom en suite has two sinks, tub and shower.

BEDROOM #2: queen + twin with lake views.

BEDROOM #3: two twin beds with lake views.

BEDROOM #4: twin bed with pull out second twin bed, and vanity with sink.

BATHROOM #2: two sinks, separated by a door from the shower and separate Jacuzzi tub that seats two.

GAME ROOM: Ping Pong table, Foosball table, sliding glass doors to downstairs deck and lake views.  Nearby closets contain two roll-away beds that can be set up in the game room or downstairs bedrooms for additional accommodation (these two beds are simply extra; they are not included in the total count advertised for this home).

LAUNDRY ROOM: located downstairs, washer and dryer.

BEACH CLUB:  Private beach club located 1.3 miles down the hill is accessed with a gate key card.  It is located next door to Sunnyside Restaurant and Lodge, and has two long piers, beach, nicely landscaped lawn area with many BBQ pits and picnic tables that may be reserved in advance, volleyball court and playground.
