Lakefront Serenity and Country Fun in Twin Lakes

This picturesque 5-bedroom, 2-bath home is set on Twin Lakes. The house, which was built in the 1920’s, faces due west which provides magnificent sunset views. There is a spacious gourmet chef’s kitchen with double Garland stove including a breakfast nook which seats 6, a full dining room, a great room with a remarkable semi-precious stone fireplace, as well as an office/tv room. The downstairs master bedroom opens to a porch overlooking the lake. The four bedrooms upstairs each have their own unique country character. A separate studio apartment with full bath is available for your visiting guests for an additional $200 cleaning fee.

The house is located on Big Twin Lake, a pristine glacier lake which has a shoreline of almost three miles. The lake is completely surrounded by private property with no public access. There are no motors allowed. As a result, the lake is very quiet and maintains its clear glacial quality, which is ideal for swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. A short private path leads down to the lake and floating dock.

Twin Lakes is located about 90 minutes from NY City. There is daily direct bus service to/from Manhattan in Milford, about 10 minutes away.

There are several good restaurants nearby. The Town of Milford, with art galleries, restaurants, antique shops, and Grey Towers is about 10 minutes away. There are numerous waterfalls in the vicinity. Costa’s Fun Park, located about 20 minutes away, has go karts, miniature golf, a water slide, bumper boats, a driving range and batting cages for the kids and adults, too.
