Come Relax in the coziness of our "Cowboy Comfortable” interior with a Magnificent View of the Needles Mountains right out of our large glass balcony door.  It is just a 2 minute walk to the Lifts and even a shorter walk to the "bunny hill" slope where you can ski down to the Columbine Lift and ride up to the Main Lifts.  Right across the street at the Durango Mountain Resort Lodge, you can enjoy the large outdoor Heated Pool, outdoor Hot Tub / Jacuzzi, Game & TV Room, and Fitness Workout Center as part of your rental "perks" because of our membership in the Durango Mountain Master Association (DMMA).

A large stone wood-burning fireplace greets you as you enter our spacious open loft style home in the mountains.  The magnificent mountain views, the comfortable western style furnishings and authentic western art throughout our mountain vacation home make you feel like you have escaped to your own cowboy cabin with all the modern comforts of home!

Take a short 25 yard walk to the tunnel to the bunny slope to begin your day of skiing or enjoy another cup of coffee on your private Mountain View balcony.  Too cold outside?  You have the same view in the warmth of the spacious living room or from the upstairs loft bedroom.  Even the bathroom has a view of the slopes!

After a hard day of skiing, enjoy relaxing in the heated pool or hot tub.  If you still have energy left, you can hit the Fitness Center for a vigorous workout.

Our Cowboy Comfortable home is filled with beautiful woodwork and sleeps 6-7 guests.  Sleeping options include one private queen bedroom on the lower level, 1 upstairs open loft with a queen bed, a queen sofa bed in the living room.  We have a full size futon which is perfect for cuddling in front of the fireplace that also makes into a bed. Our updated bathrooms include a walk-in shower and double sinks upstairs, and a tub/shower and sink on the lower floor.

The modern kitchen features a stainless refrigerator, electric range with self-cleaning oven, a large double stainless steel sink with stainless backsplash and electric disposal.  Ample spices and cooking tools are stocked in the open kitchen where family can gather round to enjoy swapping slope stories.

The Resort Lodge Plaza is home to several nice shops, and places to eat such as Purgy’s Restaurant and Bar, Village Market & Deli.  It’s also home to Kendall Mountain Liquors for the “mix it yourselfers”.  Entertainment for the kids and adventurous adults includes a bouncy-bounce, bungee jump and climbing wall - - and don’t forget the new Purg Plunge Zip line.  Also during the summer, Durango Mountain Resort is host to “Music in the Mountains” which attracts musicians and audiences from all over the world.  In spring , summer, and fall the tennis courts located across Highway 550 by the lake are open to our guests.

During the non winter months, you can enjoy fly fishing, biking, hiking, horseback riding, a ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, river rafting kayaking, rock climbing, watch a Nationally Sanctioned Bike Race, Attend a “Music in the Mountains performance, go shopping, take a drive to Silverton.  Plus something you can do no matter the season - -Relax.

No matter what you choose to do or not do, you can be sure that you will find it here.  Oh!  Don’t forget one of our personal favorites – Eating.  Durango is famous for their places to eat, and the casual dining atmosphere.  You don’t have to be a foodie to enjoy it.  Just relax and have fun.  You’ll be glad you are here.

Bedrooms:  2 - 1 downstairs with Queen Bed, and 1 loft with Queen Bed, Queen Sleeper Sofa in the living room, and Standard Futon in front of the fireplace.

Kitchen: Modern kitchen with Stainless Steel Refrigerator with Icemaker, Electric Range with Self Cleaning Oven, above range Microwave, Dishwasher, & Stainless Sink.  Kitchen is also equipted with coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, mixer, and full range of pots, pans & silverware.

Bathrooms: 2 - Downstairs with tub / shower.  Upstairs with Walk-in Shower & 2 sinks.  Bath Gel, Shampoo, & Conditioner are furnished.  Hair Dryer is also furnished.

Washer & Dryer - Ironing Board & Iron: Yep, we have them if you have to use them.  But don't forget - you are on vacation!
