Imagine waking up in the morning to the sun glistening off your own private alpine lake. After breakfast in the expansive kitchen and great room, you put on your bathing suit and go out to the sandy beach for a swim across to the exposed granite and ancient Native American petroglyphs on the other side. Later, grab a fishing pole to try for some large-mouth bass, or relax in a chair on the patio and soak in the serenity. After lunch, you head up to the tennis court for some basketball, then relax in the wide hammock beside the lake. You grill dinner out on the deck, and as the sun turns distant Signal Peak orange and red, you finish with s'mores cooked to perfection in the outdoor fireplace. Crystal Lake is a 210 acre mountain estate featuring a 6-bedroom lodge with hot tub and tennis court on the shores of a private alpine lake - no neighbors, just you and breathtaking views. The estate is completely surrounded by the Tahoe National Forest, allowing unlimited hiking, mountain biking, and exploration.

The house has 6 bedrooms, 5 with bath attached, 3 common areas and a large kitchen designed for family gatherings. The great room leads out onto the deck with a fireplace and it is about 50 yards to the beach/dock and the lake. There is also a tennis court with adjustable basketball hoop, a play structure with swings and a slide, and a hot tub.

The lake is deep, crystal clear, and perfect for swimming and fishing. Jump off the dock, or jump on the floating trampoline.

Only 2 miles from Highway 80 in the Sierra Nevada mountains, the estate is easy to reach from the San Francisco Bay Area, or fly in to Reno or Sacramento for a shorter drive.

Bedrooms:
Master: King bed, sitting area, fireplace, opens to patio. Attached bathroom with deep tub and double shower.

Lakeview bedroom: Queen bed, attached bathroom with tub and shower.

Twin bedroom: One set of twin bunkbeds, and a twin bed, attached bathroom with tub and shower.

Bunkbed room: One set of twin bunkbeds.

Twin bedroom: Two twin beds with full-size twin trundles, attached bathroom with shower.

King Bedroom: King bed, attached bathroom with shower.

The great room includes a soaring fireplace, double story windows that provide views over the lake and to the pine covered mountains beyond. The loft overlooking the great room is full of toys for children of all ages and includes a pool table. There is a hidden TV with DVD/VCR, and a full stereo system. Additionally, there is a back common room with couches and a TV with VCR.

The large kitchen that inspires cooking, entertaining and family meals has a huge island, two sinks with disposals, two dishwashers, gas range, two ovens, microwave, and a large Subzero refrigerator and freezer.

Memorial Day - Labor Day: Starting from $7500/week or $1250/night.  

Prefer week long stays (or longer).  Monthly stays possible in June, July, August or September.  Holiday rates and event fees apply.

Reservation Deposit: 50% of total rent due on contract signing

Balance & Refundable Security Deposit: Due 60 days before rental

10% lodging tax and $350 cleaning fee

Rates are lower in May, October and November.
