Bijou on the Bayou in Slidell

    Welcome to the Bijou on the Bayou.  The home named this because Bijou is French for Jewel, which sits in the Beautiful Bayous of Slidell, LA. This Home is located on the Famous Bayou Liberty and is just a minutes drive or boat ride to Lake Ponchartrain.  Enjoy a gorgeous morning view of Bayou Liberty from your kitchen/ living room, your sure to enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast and more.  Not to mention Grill outs and get togethers with friends on the large porches and NEWLY BUILT(July 2011) party deck. Bijou on the Bayou is a 2 Story beautifully furnished home located right on the bayou.  As you can see from the pictures, it has a beautiful foyer entrance with an Oak staircase leading up to the main floor where you will view our very open floor plan of the Large Living Room & Kitchen. Continuing on to a quaint dining area situated beside the kitchen, noticing the focal point of spacious bay windows over-looking the water.  The Kitchen is very open, with all brand new 46' LCD HDTV complete with New Blu-Ray player for your Theater viewing experience, as well as a comfy gas fireplace.

      Then you will walk down the hall to the fully decorated brand newly furnished 3 bedrooms with 2 Queen sized beds, chest of drawers and plenty of room!  One of the two extra rooms has a TV and DVD Player.  Then you will arrive at the beautiful Master Bedroom which contains a King Size Bed, a Large Couch as well as a Desk built for an office/ entertainment area. (We don't condone ANY working in this home!)  This room is equipped with new 36' LCD HDTV Screen, Cable TV, and a new Blu-Ray Player for your enjoyment.  The Master Bathroom has TONS of Closet space, a stand up Shower as well as a Jacuzzi Bathtub.  A full Laundry room with full size washer and dryer is located in the hallway.  All linens and Bath towels are provided.

      Travel down below to the newly added game room which features a 50' projection TV, dart board, small bar/game table w/ 4 chairs, half bathroom, small beer cooler (refrigerator), and plenty of room to enjoy an evening with friends!  This room is heated and cooled as well, and it can be easily converted to become the fourth bedroom by bringing your own blow-up mattresses or opting to rent them.   (Please contact the owner for these details/arrangements.)  This room also has quick access to the outside porches for grilling and other entertainment. (Note:  Large Screens and Projectors are available for rental as well.)
Parking is available for multiple vehicles with a two car garage with locking doors, a covered carport for another car, two spots right in front of the garage doors and plenty of other space on the 1 acre lot right next to the house for RV's and Boat Trailers (additional charges may apply for long term RV and electrical  hookups.  Septic can be provided for this as well.

      If your passion is Fishing, this is the spot to be!  Come and enjoy our newly built Party Deck and spacious area around the back yard, perfect for pier fishing and crabbing! Cooking and entertaining for friends and family are a breeze with our updated Brick Oven, an essential in all of your grilling needs!  Fishing Charters can be arranged and boat rental are available.  This location is about 1 min car and boat ride to the nearest boat launch, 2-3 miles from Northshore Blvd where Northshore Mall, Home Depot, Sams, Walmart, Target, Olive Garden, Chilis, Chucky Cheese, IHOP and a brand new Theater are all located in the immediate major area.  While its close to all the main amenities, its just the perfect amount away to make it seem far away from everything and no noise of the city. This is a great Home for Family Vacations and Getaways, but is also available for Executives and Corporate Rentals where a long term company project may need a perfect place for multiple contractors, or short term contract employees might want to live.

Regular Rate:     $245/weekday night (Mon-Thurs)  
Weekend Rate:  $345/night (Fri-Sun)
Discounted week rate:     $1600/wk (7 nights)
Discounted Monthly Rate:      $3500/month (includes up to $200 in utilities) 
Special Events & Holidays:     $500/night or $2150/wk
*Special Events & Holidays include: Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July.  Contact owner for exact quote if your reservation includes any holidays or special events!

Additional Fees:

-$500 refundable reservation/damage deposit                     -$100 cleaning fee for each reservation.
-There is also a $350 refundable pet deposit (if you will be bringing pets during your stay.)   This is in addition to the $500.00 damage deposit. 
-A 3% credit card processing fee will be applied to all credit card transactions/payments made.                             -$5.00 flat fee for all payments paid by a check.
