Windham Country House - Large, Affordable, Great Setting in Stratton Mountain

This contemporary home sits on a mountainside, centrally located near southern Vermont resorts and attractions, yet it's off the beaten track.  It offers peace and quiet, natural beauty, and comfortable accommodations, all at an affordable price.  Children and pets are welcomed!

Rooms:  The five bedrooms offer three queen beds, one double, and two twins, providing beds for 10 people.  The Great Room includes a kitchen, eating area, and living room with a regulation billiards table. All rooms have natural wood floors, attractive decorations, and original artwork.  Large windows, a screened porch, and a deck provide you with grand views of Turkey Mountain and the gardens surrounding the house. An outdoor grilling area is available for BBQ.

Natural Beauty:  Guests enjoy walks on trails in the woods, wild life sightings at the pond and in the meadow, and ball games on the playing field behind the house.  The country road on which the house rests is a favorite walking route, taking guests past lovely woods and a sheep farm in one direction, and open fields with mountain views in the other direction.

Hospitality and Special Services: The owners of the Windham Country House, Michael and Mary, live on the premises in a separate unit.  Although only present when you request, they are ready to assist you. They’ll offer advise on things to do and see, give you directions, provide an egg or a cup of sugar or whatever you might have forgotten, and in other ways ensure that your stay is a delightful one. 

In addition, Michael is a justice of the peace, able to perform marriages and civil unions. Mary is a Reiki master, who can provide treatments that reduce stress and pain. Previous guests of the Windham Country House have commented on the “extras” from the owners that made their stay unforgettable.

June 7 - December 12: $250/night; $1400/week; $3000/month

For parties with more than eight adults, there is an additional charge of $10 per night for each adult beyond eight adults.  This does not apply to specials.
