On a quiet lane away from traffic, Casa Gatos is a private compound in a beautiful garden behind a gated limestone wall. Yalku Lagoon is around the corner and the beach at Half Moon Bay is only a few hundred yards down the road. In the Mexican style, this contemporary house surrounds a central terrace that features a natural rock fountain and pond and a broad garden terrace.

The apartment has individuality and style with brightly colored, sunlit roooms, decorated with animal themed and African art and artifacts. The palapa shaded balcony off the kitchen overlooks the garden, a perfect setting for breakfast, coffee or cocktails. An outdoor stairway leads from the landing to the roof garden.

The open floor plan provides a feeling of spaciousness. The kitchen with breakfast counter and dining nook and the sunlit converstion area fill out the front room. The large bedroom through the arch has a queen bed, a futon for viewing TV and a separate alcove with a single bed. The futon can be opened for additional sleeping arrangements, 

This year we have added a  fitness room for guests who would like to exercise and a tented rooftop gazebo for those who would rather just relax in the shade and enjoy the breeze coming off the caribbean.
