Just right for the 2 of us!

Review submitted: October 24, 2012   Date of arrival: October 13, 2012

This was just the perfect spot for my husband and me to return to each evening after a busy day of sightseeing in the Tucson area. It is so nice to have a kitchen for preparing breakfast each morning or a light supper in the evening. This casita was very quiet and private in a nice neighborhood for taking an evening walk. So much nicer than staying in a hotel! I could get up early (darn that difference in time zones!)and curl up with a book in a comfy chair in the living room, while not disturbing my sleeping husband in the bedroom. Lovely, large tiled shower. The Desert Nook was a cozy and comfortable home base for us. We both enjoyed it and would return if we got the chance. Char was so helpful and drew me a map of the nearby shops and neighboring streets! That really came in handy! We explored the Saguaro National Park, Desert Museum, Sabino Canyon hiking trails (take extra water!!), Mt. Lemmon (lovely place to cool off!), Colossal Cave and Mission Xavier. Then we moved down to Tombstone and toured Kartchner Caverns State Park (awesome cave!), Bisbee and the copper mine, and the old streets of Tombstone.

A lil bit of Heaven in the desert.

The owner, Char, portrayed the property perfectly in her description & pictures.
The covered porch was great, we spent a lot of time sitting there watching the birds & wild life. Char was a great hostess. The inside deplicted typical Tucson. We had a wonderful time. We went to Tucson to view the Foothills & the Nook was a perfect location to do just that. The pool was a god send in the 105 degree heat. The Nook was very clean and well maintained. The welcome basket was a perfect touch. We would stay there again in a heatbeat & recomend it highly to anyone who wants to visit Tucson.

Absolutly Fabulous

I cannot say how much we enjoyed our stay. Perect locatiion for all Tuscon's attrations and everyting North and South. Charlene is a perfect host and the Desert Nook has everyting you could want.

We have been coming to Tucson for 16 years but the house we stayed in before was no longer available so it was with some trepidation that we rented a new place but we were not disapointed.

The Desert Nook is extreemly comfortable - wonderful bed - great breakfast on the terrace - most of the best restaurants in Tucson are within a stone's throw and although the kitchen is small, it is briliantlly kitted out - we have our own restaurant in Scotland and so like to cook and everying we needed was there

Perfect Peace, Perfect Sunsets, Perfect dawns - the latter impotant to us as with the jet lag we are up with the sun.

We arrived tired and stressed from running a usy business in these difficult times and left like different people - worth every penny

Thank you very much and hopefully we will be back.
