Remodeled Beach Bungalow in Oceanside

My mother, 4 year old daughter and I stayed here while visiting my brother who lives in Oceanside. The property is very attractive, well-kept and close to the beach and Coaster station, which was important to us. We took the Coaster everywhere and this was definitely close, at most 5 mins. walking distance. The house was in good shape except for a few minor problems. This place is pet friendly so expect to find pet hair. Sheets were fresh and clean but comforters had not been washed and had pet hair all over. Luckily, this place has w/d so I immediately washed comforters and pillow cases which also had hair. Not what I wanted to do after travelling for 8 hours. Everything else was pretty clean. Kitchen drawers had some crumbs/grease or food marks but otherwise it was good. I think the house just needed a really good cleaning: clean out windows and drawers, under and around beds/furniture, etc. But when charged so much for cleaning I expect the best I guess. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen appliances were great! Loved the dining room area and kitchen windows. We really loved the stay and enjoyed having the space and freedom of the house. We did have some issues with loud music and some sketchy neighbors across the street-lots of traffic in and out of their house?
We walked to the Thursday night street fair and had a great time! Keep your head up around the depot at night though. Overall, great bungalow, good location, and owner was very pleasant to deal with.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with teenagers, pet-friendly, tourists without a car

Wonderful Vacation Rental!

Could not have been happier with our stay. We came from Alb. NM to vacation with my family as well as my parents. The house was absolutey perfect! We had everything we needed. Loved having a kitchen to cook for my girls, great patio area, BBQ grill as well as Washer & Dryer. Loved being so close to the beach. Did want to recommend for anyone staying that Oceanside has a street fair Thursday nights downtown with food, music and stands that local business owners sell there items. My entire family enjoyed it very much!!! We plan to come back and to recommend it to any of our frieds/family that plan to visit this area.

Recommended for: families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Spring break 2012

It was a nice cozy home to stay in, clean, great location. We kept the house clean and he never refunded our deposit even after I emailed him several times. He could have at least emailed me back with a reason, but did not.
