Early Spring Break get-away

Review submitted: March 14, 2014   Date of arrival: March 2, 2014

Enjoyed a great week on Fort Myers Beach! The condo was exactly as expected. We were a family of 2 adults and our 2 boys (age 11 & 9) as well as my in-laws, so 6 guests total. The adults used the bedrooms and the boys slept on the newer pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room. The condo was adequately furnished (except for a pancake spatula that we purchased!). We did not rent a car, so it was extremely helpful to have the Publix right across the street for some cooking and grilling we did during our stay. We did a bunch of walking, rented bikes and took the trolley to go to shops and restaurants. We booked a 1/2 day fishing trip with Mike at the Marina across the street-a highlight for our family. The boys also enjoyed the pool-comfortable temperature and clean. The gas grills worked great. We also left a few more sand toys as we spent a couple hours enjoying building sand castles right outside our window. So nice to be right on the beach! Thanks Nancy! Hope to be back someday!

Owners response: Thanks for the review! I am so glad you enjoyed your vacation! Hope you come back soon. Thanks for the spatula.

Charming Highrise Cottage & Very Relaxing Vacation

Review submitted: September 13, 2013   Date of arrival: August 27, 2013

Since our visit was mainly during off peak times, it was very peaceful and relaxing. The holiday weekend crowd left a little to be desired, but they were gone in 3 days and it was back to peacefulness for us.

I agree with the previous posting that beach towels should be provided. The screened balcony was nice for bugs, although I didn't see many bugs there; not so good for trying to enjoy the view as the screen limits you to a straight forward vantage point.

The condo could use some updating. The electrical is kind of strange. Couldn't get the dining room light or fan to function. Most of the outlets had only one plug working, if that. Most of the lamps did work though, so we could still see. And you will probably want to unplug the landline phone becuase there were a lot of telemarketing calls during our stay. Also, it says there is a hot tub, but I did not ever find a hot tub.

All in all the benefits outweigh the negatives, because it is an amazing rate for a beachfront and centralized location. Publix is greatly convenient. I left a few items behind for the next visitors - water toys, sand toys, and sunscreen. Do wear your water shoes. There are a lot of string rays directly in front of the building in the shallows. Also the shelling is great but those little shells can create some big puncture wounds in the feet(ouch).

I hope you all will enjoy it as much as we did... it is definetly an option for a future vacation destination :)

great location, modern and updated comfy beachfron

Review submitted: September 6, 2013   Date of arrival: August 20, 2013

excellent condo on the beach, updated with comfy king bed and nice furniture-has everything needed for a great beach getaway plus a Publix market across the street. Staff was very friendly a bigger pool for this area of Ft. Myers beach and was in very good condition. Property very well maintained and clean, we had a great week there. Some very good local eating spots-like Doc Fords, Big game Grill and of course the local dive, Heavenly Biscuits(not to be missed for breafast!)
